ADJUSTMENTS WINDOWS Remove door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Loosen bolts holding window to regulator. Raise window fully, seating window in frame. Tighten bolts. Install door trim panel. TROUBLE SHOOTING POWER WINDOWS On Dakota, inspect circuit breaker No. 20 (20-amp) in junction block. On Durango inspect circuit breaker No. 21 (25-amp) in junction block. On all models, junction block is located on left end of instrument panel. Inspect fuse No. 9 (40-amp on Dakota, 50-amp on Durango) in Power Distribution Center (PDC). PDC is located in left front corner of engine compartment. Inspect power window system ground circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . SYSTEM TESTS ALL WINDOWS INOPERATIVE Dakota 1. Check circuit breaker for power window system. See TROUBLE SHOOTING . Replace circuit breaker as necessary. If circuit breaker is okay, go to next step. 2. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove driver’s front power window switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Check for continuity between ground and terminal No. 3 (Black wire) at driver power window switch wiring harness connector. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Black wire between driver power window 2000 Dodge Durango 2000 ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT’ ‘Power Windows – Dakota & Durango 2000 Dodge Durango 2000 ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT’ ‘Power Windows – Dakota & Durango switch connector and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . 3. Connect negative battery cable. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 5 (Tan wire) at driver’s power window switch wiring harness connector. If battery voltage is present, check driver power window switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH under COMPONENT TESTS. If battery voltage is not present, repair open Tan wire between driver power window switch connector and ignition switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . See POWER DISTRIBUTION article in WIRING DIAGRAMS. Durango 1. Check circuit breaker for power window system. See TROUBLE SHOOTING . Replace circuit breaker as necessary. If circuit breaker is okay, go to next step. 2. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove driver’s front power window switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. 3. 1. Open the driver side door and lower the window. 2. Remove the door panel, kick panel, and plastic trim piece along the bottom of the door frame. 3. Disconnect the mirror wire harness. Remove the three mirror mounting nuts and remove the mirror housing from the vehicle. 1 2 3 Mirror Replacement – 2 – 4 There is a plug seated in a socket in the center of the mirror that holds the mirror in the mirror housing. Lift up the inboard edge of the mirror. Use a small pry bar and pry up around the center of the mirror until the plug unseats from the socket. 5 There are two drive pins on the bottom and outboard sides of the mirror. Hold the top of the mirror away from the mirror housing and pry away the bottom drive pin from the back of the mirror. 6 Hold the inboard side of the mirror away from the mirror housing and pry away the outboard drive pin from the back of the mirror. IF heated, disconnect OE heater wire from heater terminals. Note: During the removal of the original mirror, if motor pins stay attached to the back plate, use “V” end in small pry bar or needle nose pliers to disengage pins from back plate. Set the mirror aside. 7 8 Using the shorter of the two harnesses from the kit, tape the end without the mating connector to the end of the gopher wire. Remove the foam insulation from the mirror housing sail. Starting from the inside of the mirror housing, guide a piece of gopher wire down alongside the existing factory wire harness and out of the bottom of the mirror housing sail. 9 Pull the gopher wire and wire harness through the mirror housing until about 4 inches of wire remain inside the mirror housing.
13 Tuck the wire harness behind the Signal® mirror. Insert the other drive pin into the outboard pin socket (socket closest to the optic module). Align the socket in the center of the Signal® mirror over the plug on the center of the mirror mount. Align drive pins to its mating slots on the motor mount and vice-versa. Anti-vibration tab should be tucked inside housing. 14 Use the palm of your hand and firmly press down on lower portion (marked boundaries) of the Signal® mirror until it snaps into position. Press down carefully on the mirror outboard edge to engage outboard drive pin into mirror mount socket. 15 Press mirror down carefully on the lower edge to engage the lower drive pin into motor mount. Remount mirror to door, then use Electronic Hand Control to relocate mirror position. Gently clean any finger mark/dirt away from mirror using paper towel and glass cleaner. 10 Guide the Signal® mirror harness along the existing path of the factory wire harness and through the foam insulation. Remove any slack in the wire. Reposition the foam insulation on the mirror housing sail. 11 Connect the Signal® mirror mating connector to the Signal ® mirror harness. If heated , reconnect the heater wires to the heater terminals on the back of the new Signal® mirror. NOTE: There is no polarity so the wires may be interchanged. Disregard heater connections on vehicles not equipped with outside heated mirrors. 12 The drive pins must be aligned before installing the Signal® mirror. If needed, insert a drive pin into the lower socket on the mirror mount. Align the nubs on the lower drive pin so it points to the round plug in the center of the mirror mount.

Installation 1. Secure the Relay to the wire loom next to the Battery with wire ties. Secure top and bottom with wire ties (see Picture 1). Note: It is suggested to loosen the battery from the base and move it to allow extra working room. Picture 1 2. Attach the ring terminal with 2 black wires to the 10mm ground bolt next to the battery (see picture 2) Run the fog light wire harness on the driver side of the car. Use wire ties as needed Vehicle Disassembly 5. Remove the screws on the lower part of the instrument panel (picture 6) Picture 6 6. Remove lower instrument panel sub assy (picture 6) 7. Mount switch into switch knockout on left side of dash (see picture 9) Picture 9 8. From inside the cabin, locate the wires that were pushed through in step 4. It will be the grommet above the gas pedal (see picture 10) Picture 10 9. Install switch harness (see picture 11) Picture 11 10. Locate the junction box behind the lower instrument panel (picture 12) Picture 12 11. T-tap green/black wire from fog light harness to connector DB pin 16, red wire (bottom pin on right). Connector DB is in the driver’s side junction box, located on the left side of the steering column (pic. 13 & 14) 12. T-Tap orange/black wire from fog light harness to connector DB pin 18, blue wire (right side third pin up from bottom). Fuel pump relay is located in the front of the trunk. Turn ignition switch to START position. If engine starts, go to next step. If engine does not start, go to FUEL PUMP RESISTOR (3.5RL) . 2. Turn engine off and ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and PCM 12-pin connector terminal No. 4 (Green wire). If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, go to step 4). 3. Start engine and run at 3000 RPM with no loads and transmission in Park or Neutral, until radiator fan comes on. Allow engine to idle for at least one minute. Turn engine off. Disconnect vacuum hose No. 21 from vacuum manifold. Apply 8-12 in. Hg (27-40 kPa) vacuum to Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor. Start engine and run at 6500 RPM with no loads and transmission in Park or Neutral. Measure voltage between ground and PCM 12-pin connector terminal No. 4 (Green wire). If less than one volt is present, fuel pump relay circuit is okay. If one volt or more is present, substitute a known good PCM, then recheck. If symptom or indication goes away, replace original PCM. 4. Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM 26-pin and 12-pin connectors. Disconnect fuel pump relay 4-pin connector. Using a fused jumper wire, connect fuel pump relay connector terminals No. 2 (Red/White wire) and No. 4 (Green wire). Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and PCM 12-pin connector terminal No. 4 (Green wire). If battery voltage is not present, go to next step. If battery voltage is present, replace fuel pump relay. 5. Remove jumper wire. Measure voltage between ground and fuel pump relay 4-pin connector terminal No. 2 (Red/White wire). If battery voltage is present, repair open or short in Green wire between PCM and fuel pump relay. If battery voltage is not present, repair open in Red/White wire between fuel pump relay and FUEL PUMP fuse No. 22 (20-amp), located in underdash fuse/relay box. FUEL PUMP RESISTOR (3.5RL) 1. Fuel pump resistor is located in the left corner of the trunk. Disconnect fuel pump resistor 2-pin connector. Turn ignition on and measure voltage between ground and fuel pump resistor connector terminal No. 2 (Yellow wire) within 2 seconds. If battery voltage is present for 2 seconds after ignition is turned on, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present as specified, check PGM-FI relay. See PGM- FI MAIN RELAY . 2. Turn ignition off. Using a jumper wire, connect fuel pump resistor connector terminals No. 1 (Black/Yellow wire) and No. 2 (Yellow wire). Turn ignition switch to START position. If engine does not start, go to next step. If engine starts, replace fuel pump resistor. 3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect fuel unit sub-harness Gray, 10-pin connector located in front of trunk, above fuel pump access panel, next to Gray, 20-pin connector. Turn ignition on and measure voltage between ground and sub-harness connector terminal No. 7 (Black/Yellow wire) within 2 seconds. If battery voltage is present for 2 seconds after ignition is turned on, check fuel pump. If battery voltage is present as specified, repair open in Black/Yellow wire between fuel pump resistor and fuel pump

Grounding the Automobile A perfectly and beautifully wired automobile will nevertheless have bugs and problems if everything is not properly grounded. Do not go to the careful effort of installing a quality wire harness only to neglect proper grounding. Note: The Painless Wire Harness Kit includes no ground wire except the black wire from the two headlamp connectors. You must supply ground wire (14-16 gauge) for all circuits. 6.3.1 Connect a Ground Strap or Cable (2-gauge minimum) from the Negative Battery terminal to the automobile chassis (frame). 6.3.2 Connect a Ground Strap from the Engine to the chassis (even a 10-gauge wire is too small) . DO NOT RELY UPON THE MOTOR MOUNTS TO MAKE THIS CONNECTION . 6.3.3 Connect a Ground Strap from the Engine to the Body. 6.3.4 If you have a fiberglass body you should install a terminal block to ground all your Gauges and Accessories. Ground the Terminal Block with at least a 12-gauge wire to the chassis. 6.4 Terminal Installation and Making Connections Note: In the following steps you will be making the circuit connections. Before you start, you should carefully read Sections 7.0 through 10.0 , as appropriate, and continually refer to Section 10.0 , DOUBLE- CHECKING your routing and length calculations before cutting any wires and making connections. Give special attention to Turn Signal and Ignition Switch connections. These can be somewhat confusing. 6.4.1 Have all needed tools and connectors handy. 6.4.2 Select the correct size terminal for the wire and stud application. 6.4.3 Determine the correct wire length and cut the wire. Remember to allow enough slack in the harness and wires at places where movement could possibly occur, such as automobile body to frame, frame to engine, etc. Double-check your calculations. 6.4.4 Strip insulation away from wire. Strip only enough necessary for the type of terminal lug you are using. Note: In the following step, make sure that the terminal is crimped with the proper die in the crimping tool. An improper crimp will NOT make a good connection. 6.4.5 Crimp the terminal onto the wire. CAUTION: DO NOT OVER-CRIMP! 6.4.6 Connecting the harness throughout the groups is a redundant process. Make sure that each wire is FIRST properly routed and THEN attach. DO NOT ATTACH FIRST THEN ROUTE AFTERWARD. 6.4.7 When all wires are attached, tighten the mounts and ties to secure harness permanently. 6.5 Testing The System 6.5.1 Use a small (10 amp or less) battery charger to power up the vehicle for circuit testing. If there is a problem anywhere, the battery charger’s low amperage and internal circuit breaker will provide circuit protection. CAUTION: IF YOU HAVE NOT YET DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY FROM THE AUTOMOBILE, DO SO NOW! DO NOT CONNECT THE BATTERY CHARGER WITH THE BATTERY CONNECTED. Connect the battery charger’s NEGATIVE output to the automobile chassis or engine block and its POSITIVE output to the automobile’s positive battery terminal. 6.5.2 INDIVIDUALLY turn on each light, ignition, wiper circuit, etc. and check for proper operation. Note: The turn signals will not flash properly if you do not have both the front and rear bulbs installed and connected. 6.5.3 When all circuits check out THEN attach the battery cable to the battery for vehicle operation

Certain exhaust system components, including exhaust heat shielding systems, have been installed on some vehicles in our assembly plants in an effort to provide protection against engine compartment and exhaust system temperatures. Subsequent aftermarket installers/manufacturers are responsible for providing thermal protection (e.g. underbody heat shields) for any structure and/or equipment added to the vehicle and should not remove any components or exhaust heat shielding installed on the vehicle by Ford Motor Company. All exposed interior sheet metal of closed structures (e.g. fl oor pan of cab and/or secondary structure, tool boxes, etc.) should be covered with an insulating material capable of protecting vehicle occupants and contents from temperatures potentially up to 700°F. OZONE DEPLETING SUBSTANCE (ODS) OZONE DEPLETING SUBSTANCE (ODS) The Clean Air Act of 1990, Section 611 requires any product (i.e., completed vehicle) containing or manufactured with any Class I Ozone Depleting Substance on, or after May 15,1993 must be identifi ed with a “clearly and conspicuously attached label.” Ford Motor Company has eliminated Class I ODS from its manufacturing processes. All 2006 Ford Truck incomplete vehicles will not have Class I ODS content. Manufacturers, including subsequent stage manufacturers, are required to label their products if the product, including any component (whether manufactured by that manufacturer or not), contains a Class I ODS or if the manufacturer used a Class I ODS in the manufacturing of the product. In the case where Ford Motor Company provides a label saying the incomplete vehicle contains a Class I ODS that information must be placed on the product warning label. (See EPA regulation on wording, placement, size, and combining labels.) In Canada consult the appropriate Provincial or Territorial Ministry of Environment. EMISSION CONTROL INFORMATION LABEL To meet United States Environmental Protection Agency regulations, the Important Vehicle Information (tune-up and fuel tank capacity) labels must be affi xed in a location that is readily visible after installation and in such a manner that it cannot be removed without destroying or defacing the label. The label shall not be affi xed to any equipment that is easily detached from the vehicle. When emission control labels are supplied but not attached to the vehicle (i.e., tune-up label or fuel tank label), they must be permanently mounted in a readily visible location to meet the preceding requirements. In addition, whether the label is already affi xed or to be affi xed, no components shall be installed which visibly obscure the label in any way that fails to satisfy the visibility requirements described in the California Emission Control Label Specifications. For Canadian requirements consult Section 1100 8 (1) (d) (i), (ii), & (iii). CALIFORNIA FUEL VAPOR RECOVERY California regulations require that the vehicle fuel systems be designed to accommodate a vapor recovery fueling nozzle including unobstructed access to the fi ll pipe. Fuel fi ller pipes installed per the Figure B on page 15 will comply with the “Specifi cations For Fill Pipes and Openings of Motor Vehicle Fuel Tanks” referenced in Title 13 California Administrative Code provided no part of the aftermarket body, as installed, intrudes within a 254mm [10 in] radius cylinder which has its axis parallel to the ground at point “Z” and extends outward from the Ford Motor Company supplied fuel pipe housing component. The fuel pipe housing component is shown on the referenced fi gures and is attached to the aftermarket body via 4.76 mm [.188 in.] diameter rivets. Fuel fi ller pipes installed using the alternative bracket shown in Figure B, will comply with the above California vapor recovery regulations provided the aftermarket body does not interfere with the access zone as defi ned by the California Air Resources Board, and the areas adjacent to this opening cannot foreseeably damage the nozzle bellows or face plate of nozzles during insertion, latching, disposing or removal

SPECIAL SERVICE TOOLS (SSTs) PART NUMBER QTYDRW** 1 Plastic Pry Tool Set* NOTE: All components from this kit/set are required 00002-06000-01 1 21 *Essential SSTs. **Refers to drawer number in SST Storage System. NOTE: Additional SSTs may be ordered by calling SPX/OTC at 1-800-933-8335. 1. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal of the vehicle battery. NOTE: Any time the negative (-) battery terminal has been disconnected, systems requiring initialization will need to be re-initialized after the negative (-) battery terminal has been reconnected. 2. Open the back door and leave open. 3. Using the plastic pry tool, remove the back door garnish center. 4. Using the plastic pry tool, remove the left and right back door side garnish panels. NOTE: To remove the strap cover, push it toward the back door window as shown in the illustration. 6. Remove the back door trim board. A. Insert the plastic pry tool between the back door trim board to release the clips retaining the back door trim. NOTE: Be careful NOT to damage the back door and back door trim board. B. Release each clip as shown in the illustration. 7. Disconnect both connectors to the back door ECU and both clips holding the wire harness to the large service cover. 8. Remove both of the back door service hole covers. For 2001 – 2004 model year Sequoia vehicles, go to step 11. For 2005 – 2006 model year Sequoia vehicles, continue to step 9. 9. For 2005 – 2006 model year Sequoia vehicles ONLY: Remove the multiplex network door ECU. Using a drill of less than 3.2 mm (0.126 in.), drill out the two (2) rivet heads. HINT: Gently and vertically put the drill to the rivets and cut the rivet flanges. CAUTION: Take care as the cut rivets may be HOT. 10. For 2005 – 2006 model year Sequoia vehicles ONLY: Install the replacement multiplex network door ECU and rivets

Correction Replace the ignition coil/module assembly and add ground strap following the procedure below. 1. Disconnect the ignition coil electrical connector. 2. Disconnect the left side spark plug wires from the ignition coil. 3. Disconnect the right side spark plug wires from the ignition coil. 4. Remove the four bolts attaching the ignition coil to its mounting bracket and remove the ignition coil. 5. Remove the ignition coil from the mounting bracket. 6. Loosen the two lower ignition coil mounting bracket nuts. 7. Remove the two upper ignition coil mounting bracket bolts and discard. Subject: Loss of Power Steering Assist, Power Steering Warning Message Displayed in DIC, IPC/Radio Displays Erratic, DTC C0900, B1325 Set (Replace Ignition Coil/Module Assembly and Add Ground Strap) Models: 2004-2006 Chevrolet Malibu, Malibu Maxx with 3.5L Engine (VINs 8, N — RPOs LX9, LZ4) 8. Install the ground strap (1), P/N 12581176, to the upper left side of the bracket as shown between the coil bracket and intake. Install the new bracket bolt, P/N 11570082, (do not tighten at this time). Prior to installing the ground strap, remove the captured nut and washers. They are not needed (simply pound them out with a hammer on a vise). 9. Install the washer (2), P/N 02436162, to the upper right side of the bracket between the coil bracket and intake. Install the new bracket bolt, P/N 11570082, (do not tighten at this time). Tighten Tighten all the ignition coil bracket bolts and nuts to 25 N·m (15 lb ft). 10. Install the new ignition coil to the mounting bracket. 11. Install the other end of the ground strap to the coil as shown and secure using a new bolt, P/N 11588715. 12. Install the other three ignition coil bolts. Tighten Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in). 13. Connect the right side spark plug wires to the ignition coil. 14. Connect the left side spark plug wires to the ignition coil. 15. Connect the ignition coil electrical connector

TOYOTA YARIS 2006 ELECTRONIC CRUISE KIT Section II – Installation Procedure Form #5007, Rev. B, 05-23-06 Page 2 of 7 Section II – Installation Procedure A. Pre-Installation Suggestions 1. It is advisable to disconnect the negative battery cable for 3 minutes before beginning installation, to avoid unintended air bag deployment. Note and record any anti-theft radio codes prior to disconnecting . (figure 1) 2. Remove driver side small object box, lower dash panel, and steering column cover for easy access. B. Install Electronic Modules 1. There are two electronic modules. The larger one is the Cruise Control Module and the smaller one is the Switch Interface Module . 2. Apply the larger supplied piece of double- sided adhesive tape to the Cruise Control Module, and the smaller piece of double-sided tape to the Switch Interface Module. 3. Assemble 20-pin connector from Main Wiring Harness onto mating connector of Cruise Control Module. Apply the 10 and 4 pin connectors from Pedal Interface Harness to mating connector on Switch Interface Module. Warning: Be sure to use the 4 pin connector that is on the same side of the wire harness fuse as the 10 pin connector. Failure to do so could damage vehicle’s ECM. See the picture insert in Figure 2 for further guidance. 4. Locate the linked harness between the Cruise Control and Switch Interface Modules. Connect the four pin mating connectors. 5. Place the Cruise Control Module on the back side of the main J/B. Then place the Switch Interface Module on the inside wall of the driver-side dash left of the J/B .(figure 2,3) 6. Route the Pedal Interface Harness through steering column and down to the accelerator .(figure 4 ) TOYOTA YARIS 2006 ELECTRONIC CRUISE KIT Section II – Installation Procedure Form #5007, Rev. B, 05-23-06 Page 3 of 7 7. Locate the 6 pin plug and mate connectors on the Pedal Interface Harness. Remove the accelerator 6-pin connector and apply to mating connector of the Pedal Interface Harness. Apply the other connector to the accelerator .(figure 5) C. Wiring Connections (figures 6-12) 1. Use the supplied self-stripping connectors (T- taps) from hardware pack to apply a T-tap onto the following J/B wires
