DISCARD the Second Clutch Assembly and Second Clutch Housing Fluid Seal Rings removed from the transmission being serviced. Disassemble ONLY the Oil Pump Assembly from the Case Cover (Complete). DO NOT disassemble the Control Valve Body from the Case Cover. Remove ONLY the Case Cover-to- Case bolts to remove the Case Cover and Valve Body from Transmission Case AS AN ASSEMBLY . To access all Case Cover-to-Case bolts, it is necessary to remove the Pressure Control Solenoid Valve Assembly (322), and 1-2 & 3-4 Shift Solenoid Valve Assemblies (315A, 315B).

Is the clunk/thunk noise eliminated when coming to a stop and/or when accelerating froma stop? •If Yes-Replace rear driveshaft (propeller shaft assembly). Go to Step 2. •If No-This TSB does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis to isolate cause of condition Repair Procedure (Continued) 2. Install the NEW driveshaft (propeller shaft) assembly. Refer to TSB DL 001-07 for the installation method for 3 joint driveshaftassemb lies on 2007 model year Tundra. FORD: 2004-2007 F-Super Duty ISSUE SERVICE PROCEDURE Some 2004-2007 F-Super Duty vehicles, equipped with a power sliding rear window (back glass), may 1. Prior to window removal, verify that center exhibit a stuck or binding concern. Disconnect the digital transmission range (TR) sensor electrical connector. 4. Remove the manual control outer lever nut and manual control outer lever. 2004 Ford Truck Ranger 2WD V6-4.0L VIN E 5. Remove the screws and the digital TR sensor. Installation 1. Install the digital TR sensor and loosely install the screws. 2. CAUTION: Tightening one screw before tightening the other may cause the sensor to bind or become damaged. NOTE: The manual lever must be in the NEUTRAL position. Using the special tool, align the digital TR sensor and tighten screws in an alternating sequence. 3. Remove cargo rail end plugs: At the tailgate push in on the plug lock and at the same time push the end plug out of the track. 2 Next remove tie downs: If tie down are installed remove them from the cargo rail. 3 1 3 2 4 4 Install clamps in cargo rail as shown below: After clamps and tie downs are installed replace the cargo rail end plugs. Leave clamps loose for now. Recommendation/Instructions: If the SI diagnostics do not isolate a cause for this concern, clean the throttle body bore and plate for evaluation.

1. Prepare for Installation. (a) Verify kit contents (b) Wear safety glasses. (c) Raise vehicle. (d) Caution muffler might be hot NOTE: Apply masking tape to quarter panels above the bumper fascia. To prevent damage when removing the bumper fascia, apply masking tape on the underside of the bottom left- hand corner of the door and left hand upper corner of door. (Fig. 1-1) 2. Prepare Vehicle for Rear Bumper Fascia Removal. (a) Open rear door (Fig. 2-1). (b) Protect exhaust tip with a rag or protective tape during installation of hitch. (Fig. 2-1) NOTE: If the vehicle is equipped with proximity sensors, detach the sensor wire connector from inside the fascia, behind the rear wheels on both sides of the vehicle (Fig. 2-2).
