Is the clunk/thunk noise eliminated when coming to a stop and/or when accelerating froma stop? •If Yes-Replace rear driveshaft (propeller shaft assembly). Go to Step 2. •If No-This TSB does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis to isolate cause of condition Repair Procedure (Continued) 2. Install the NEW driveshaft (propeller shaft) assembly. Refer to TSB DL 001-07 for the installation method for 3 joint driveshaftassemb lies on 2007 model year Tundra. Refer to TIS, 2007 or 2008 model year Tundra Repair Manual, Drivetrain -Driveshaft/Propeller Shaft-”Propeller Shaft: Propeller Shaft Assembly (for 4WD): Installation” NOTE Re-usethespacers provided under the center support bearing to ensure the proper alignment of the center support bearing. 3. Test drive and confirm that NO abnormal vibrations or shudders occur while driving, and that the driveshaft clunk/thunk noise is eliminated.

To access all Case Cover-to-Case bolts, it is necessary to remove the Pressure Control Solenoid Valve Assembly (322), and 1-2 & 3-4 Shift Solenoid Valve Assemblies (315A, 315B).

Special Tool(s) Removal 1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. 2. Disconnect the shift cable from the manual control lever. 3. Disconnect the digital transmission range (TR) sensor electrical connector. 4. Remove the manual control outer lever nut and manual control outer lever. 2004 Ford Truck Ranger 2WD V6-4.0L VIN E 5. Remove the screws and the digital TR sensor. Installation 1. Install the digital TR sensor and loosely install the screws. 2. CAUTION: Tightening one screw before tightening the other may cause the sensor to bind or become damaged. NOTE: The manual lever must be in the NEUTRAL position. Using the special tool, align the digital TR sensor and tighten screws in an alternating sequence. 3. FORD: 2004-2007 F-Super Duty ISSUE SERVICE PROCEDURE Some 2004-2007 F-Super Duty vehicles, equipped with a power sliding rear window (back glass), may 1. Prior to window removal, verify that center exhibit a stuck or binding concern. Connecting the Evolution 1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. Locate the diagnostic connector under the dash near the steering column or under the glove compartment and connect the Evolution cable to this connector. After making the connection, the screen will first display the Edge Products logo and then the main startup displays: The numbers in the upper left portion of the screen represent the version number of the Evolution programmer. The character in the upper right portion of the screen represents the current programmed state of your vehicle. The following letters may appear: I – Programming was interrupted. (See Programming Interrupted section for more information) 1 – Vehicle has been programmed to L1 – TOW. 2 – Vehicle has been programmed to L2 – RACE. 3 – Vehicle has been programmed to L3 – EXTREME. Evolution FORD Power Stroke 7.3 Liter 11 2. Select your desired option by pressing the up or down keys on the left side of the programmer and press . Continue to the next section. Evolution FORD Power Stroke 7.3 Liter 12 Power Programming “Caution: Vehicle manufacturers do not recommend vehicle programming in extreme temperature.
