FORD: 2004-2007 F-Super Duty ISSUE SERVICE PROCEDURE Some 2004-2007 F-Super Duty vehicles, equipped with a power sliding rear window (back glass), may 1. Prior to window removal, verify that center exhibit a stuck or binding concern. Installation Precautions ?Do not use electro taps in the installation of this product. Electro taps can become loose over time causing the unit to malfunction. INSTALL THE HOUSING A. If not already done, remove the bulkhead deck rail (Photo 4) . B. Place the Housing Assembly onto the bedrails (Photo 5) . This is best accomplished with two people. Center it between the bedrails and leave about ?” of space between the bulkhead and the back of the Housing. Do not fasten the Housing in place. C. Lift the Lid on the Housing and lean it against the cab (Photo 6) . Place a rag between the Lid and cab to prevent scratches. D. Making sure to leave the Pull-Strap connected to the threaded shipping Stud, rotate the Lock Lever to the 10 o’clock position (Photo 7) . Photo 5 Photo 6 Photo 7 Photo 4 STEP 3: INSTALL THE TRACKS ON DECK RAIL E QUIPPED BEDS . A. Remove the End Caps from the deck rails (Photo 8) . B. Insert threaded rectangular blocks (2 each side Crew Max bed; 3 each side short/long bed). INSTALL THE TRACKS ON DECK RAIL E QUIPPED BEDS ( CONTINUED ) Note: The threaded hole is off-centered and the block must be inserted with the hole closest to the bottom (Photo 9) . Note: Tracks for 2007 Tundra truck beds are shipped with the clamp setups for both applications with and without “Deck Rail Systems”. Before proceeding with an application with deck rails, you must first remove the Clamps shown (Photo 10) . C. Lower the tailgate and place the driver’s side Track onto the bedrail (Photo 11) , and key it onto Housing Stem (Diagram 12) , being sure that the Handle is properly engaged into the Track. D. Using 1/4-20 x 1-1/4″ countersunk screws, loosely secure the Tracks to the threaded blocks (Photo 13) . Do not tighten. E. Use a #10-24 x 1/2″ truss head screw and Cargo Nuts to secure the Tracks to the Housing Stems (Photo 14) . Tighten these connections securely. F. With the driver’s side Track in place, repeat sub-steps B-E for the passenger’s side Track. INSTALL THE TAILGATE EXTRUSION A. Lower the tailgate and insert fi ve (5) plastic shims beneath the inside fl ange of the tailgate cap in the locations shown (Photo 15; Diagram 16) . B. Being careful not to strike the ends of the Tracks, close the tailgate and place the Tailgate Extrusion upon the edge of the tailgate, centering it between the Tracks (Photo 17) . C. While holding the Tailgate Extrusion in place, use a #8 x 3/4″ self tapping screw and power screw gun to secure the center hole. (Photo 18) D. Lower the tailgate and hold the Tailgate Extrusion tight and square to the tailgate. Secure each end hole (Photo 19) making sure the screw passes through the shim described in Step (A) above. Material required: – Remote Car Starter – Xpresskit : XK05-PKT2 or Bypasskit :PKT2 – One 5-wire relay for auto lamp circuit Key required for programming: 1 Average installation time: 2.5 hours Difficulty level: Medium 2.0 Preparation: -Remove the driver’s side under dash, as well as the knee airbag bolts. Move the Airbag aside, but DO NOT DISCONNECT the Airbag connector in order to avoid setting any vehicle codes. -Remove the driver’s side floor heating duct, in order to access the vehicle IMI & IMO wires easily. 3.0 Installation: The remote car starter will be installed in a conventional manner even if the car is equipped with the Smart Key “Push-to-Start” system. 3.01 Main Ignition Harness Connection: Most of the connections will be done behind the Fuse box. This fuse box is located under the driver side underdash. Also, the vehicle’s TACH wire can be found inside vehicle, as per diagram below and it is suggested to use this wire for the remote start tach source. The remote start hood pin switch wire is the only wire which must be run into the engine compartment for safety. Accessory (+): White Ignition 1 (+): Pink Ignition 2 (+): Light Green Starter (+): Grey Tach: Black 3.02 Wiring location for the Bypasskit XK-05 PKT2: The connection for the XK05-PKT2 will be done on the driver side under dash. The wires required are from a 5 wires harness coming from behind the heater module, high above the gas pedal near the firewall. The five wires in this harness are as follows: Blue: transponder IMI (Immobilizer in) wire, which gets cut in two and wired in series. The bottom-half wire connects to the kits Violet/White wire and the top-half wire connects the kits Violet wire. Green: transponder IMO (Immobilizer out) wire, which gets wired in parallel with the kits Orange wire. White/Black, White & Orange… these wire are not used for installation The GREEN LED output wire from the XK05-PKT2 is not required for this installation. The vehicle LED does come on during remote start. 3.03 Wiring location for door locks and factory alarm control: The wires to control the factory alarm and the door locks are located behind the driver’s kick panel. These wires must receive negative pulses. It is mandatory to disarm the OEM alarm system before remote start sequence Grey Unlock Wire : A double pulse unlock (-) output is required to disarm and unlock all doors. The first unlock (-) pulse disarms OEM alarm and unlocks driver’s door, the second pulse will unlock all other doors. In order to disarm the OEM alarm when remote starting, this GREY wire requires a pulse before start, which unlocks the driver’s door. So, if the remote systems unlock output does offer a pulse before start, then connect both the unlock and disarm (-) output wires to the vehicle’s GREY unlock wire. Brown Lock Wire : In order to lock and arm the OEM alarm system a (-) pulse is required for the vehicle’s BROWN lock wire. If the vehicle’s ignition on the alarm will not arm, if locking with remote.
