INSTALLATION 1. Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the audio and navigation system (if equipped), and write down the radio station presets. 2. INSTALLATION NOTE: •Be careful not to damage the body paint finish. •This trunk spoiler kit should be installed only if the ambient air temperature is 15°C (60°F) or above. •Wash and wax the area to be covered with a high- quality paste wax. •To allow the adhesive to cure, do not wash the vehicle for 24 hours Installing the Trunk Spoiler 1. Open the trunk lid. Remove the trunk lid lining (twelve clips). 2. Attach the tape to the trunk lid as shown. 711502AE TRUNK LID TRUNK LID LINING 11 CLIPS CLIP 770404AB TRUNK LID TAPE 3. Close the trunk lid. Align template 1 with the rear “H” emblem and edge with the trunk lid. Tape template 1 to the trunk lid. Using a felt-tip pen, mark on the tape as shown. Remove template 1. 4. Position template 2 (portion A) with the center mark on the tape. Using a felt-tip pen, mark the tape at the notch as shown 5. Position template 2 (portion B) with marks on the tape as shown. Using a felt-tip pen, mark the tape at the notches as shown. 6. Position template 2 (portion C) with marks on the tape as shown. Using a felt-tip pen, mark the tape at the notches as shown. 712613CB TRUNK LID TEMPLATE 2 (PORTION B) TRUNK LID FELT-TIP PEN MARK TEMPLATE 2 (PORTION C) FELT-TIP PEN MARK TAPE 7. Center-punch the five marks on the tape. While wearing eye protection, first drill with a 3 mm drill bit and finish with a 8mm drill bit. Remove the tape. •To prevent drilling through the trunk lid, wrap the drill stop around the drill bit 10 mm away from the tip. •Remove all burrs and metal shavings, and apply touch-up paint to the edge of the hole you drilled. •Take care not to damage the wire harnesses when drilling the holes

INSTALLATION NOTE: •Make sure the vehicle and the nose mask are clean and completely dry before installation. If moisture under the mask is allowed to dry, it may cloud the paint. If the mask gets wet, remove it and allow it to air-dry completely. •Make sure any repainted surfaces are cured. •Make sure the hood and nose of the vehicle have been waxed with a high-quality paste wax. •Make sure to install the nose mask securely. If the nose mask starts to flap or comes loose while driving, safely pull off the highway, stop the vehicle, and secure or remove the mask. Displaying the License Plate If your state law requires the display of both license plates, cut out the piece of the bumper section that covers the front license plate: •Face the inside of the mask toward you. •Carefully cut out the license plate section with scissors at the top seam, and remove the overcast stitching. nstalling the Hood Section 1. Open the hood. Fit the corners of the mask (hood section) around the hood and adjust the mask so that it fits smoothly over the edges. Attach the Shooks to the hood. Install the S-hooks by inserting your finger into the belt of each S-hook. Pulling the S-hooks by force can break the S-hooks and the mask (hood section). 760101AE 2 S-HOOKS HOOD Install the S-hooks by inserting your finger into the belt of each S-hook. 1998-2000 HONDA Accord L4 Replace the fuel pressure regulator, and reroute the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line

1. Locate and identify the three vacuum ports on the intake manifold. 2. Disconnect and discard the vacuum hose that connects the fuel pressure regulator to vacuum port C. 3. Plug vacuum port C with the cap from the tube kit. 4. Replace the fuel pressure regulator. Refer to page 11-113 of the 1998-00 Accord Service Manual. 5. Install the new vacuum hose kit using one of the following procedures 1. Remove and discard the cap from vacuum port A. 2. Connect the short vacuum hose to vacuum port A M/T WITH CRUISE CONTROL 2. Disconnect and discard the vacuum hose that connects the fuel pressure regulator to vacuum port C. 3. Plug vacuum port C with the cap from the tube kit. 4. Replace the fuel pressure regulator. Refer to page 11-113 of the 1998-00 Accord Service Manual. 5. Install the new vacuum hose kit using one of the following procedures. Zoom Sized for Print 1. Remove and discard the cap from vacuum port A. 2. Connect the short vacuum hose to vacuum port A. Zoom Sized for Print 3. Anchor the long vacuum hose by attaching it to the rear intake air duct clip and to the cruise control hose. . Route the new vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator. Attach the hose to the three rear clips on the engine wire harness cover. Zoom Sized for Print 1. Remove and discard the vacuum hose from vacuum port A. This hose supplies vacuum to the rear engine mount control solenoid. 2. Connect the short vacuum hose from the top of the Y fitting to vacuum port A

SYMPTOM There is a vibration at idle or harsh engagement when shifting the transmission between between Park, Drive, and Reverse. PROBABLE CAUSE The front hydraulic engine mount may have deteriorated and torn. PARTS INFORMATION Front Engine Mount Assembly: 1998-02 Accord V6 – P/N 50810-S87-A82, H/C 7981657 1999-04 Odyssey – P/N 50800-S0X-A04, H/C 7978927 2003-05 Pilot – P/N 50800-S3V-A82, H/C 7984560 WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION In warranty: The normal warranty applies. Failed Part: P/N 50810-S87-A81 H/C 5438593 Defect Code: 01102 Symptom Code: 04501 Skill Level: Repair Technician Out of warranty: Any repair performed after warranty expiration may be eligible for goodwill consideration by the District Parts and Service Manager or your Zone Office. You must request consideration, and get a decision, before starting work. DIAGNOSIS 1. Bring the engine up to operating temperature, and fully apply the parking brake. 2. Have an assistant view the top of the front engine mount while standing to the side of the vehicle. Shift the transmission to Drive. With your foot firmly on the brake pedal, quickly depress the accelerator pedal and release it. Your assistant should look for contact between the top of the engine mount and the bottom of the front engine mount bracket, and listen for noise from that area. REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Drive the vehicle onto a lift, but do not raise it. 2. Odyssey – Remove the intake manifold cover and the front ignition coil cover: •See page 9-4 of the 1999-04 Odyssey Service Manual. •Online, enter keyword INTAKE , and select Intake Manifold Removal and Installation from the list. 3. Odyssey – Remove the radiator cover: •See page 10-16 of the 1999-04 Odyssey Service Manual. •Online, enter keyword RADIATOR , and select Radiator and Fan Replacement from the list
