SUNROOF KIT PREPARATION 1. Verify that sunroof kit is complete and undamaged. 2. Bench test the sunroof to ensure proper operation. Close the glass fully before continuing. 3. Cover the vehicle interior to keep clean and prevent damage. SUNROOF INSTALLATION 4. Position the sunroof : Place the interior shade tray against the interior headliner and position to avoid any obstructions, allowing 4 inches clearance in front for the motor. Consider obstructions hidden by the headliner such as roof header, side rails and cross bows. NOTE: motor can be located above most consoles. Place the point of a scratch awl against the center inside front lip of the headliner ring (inside edge of the shade tray). Pierce the headliner, and make a slight dent in the roof panel that will be easily visible on top of the vehicle 5. Carefully remove the entire headliner board from the vehicle. 6. If applicable, remove anti-flutter roof bows from the inside of the roof. Do not remove, cut or modify any structural braces, headers or side rails. 7. Measure and mark a front-to-rear center line on the outside of the roof with a marking pencil. Draw a “reference mark” crossing the center line at the roof dent made in step 4. Measure and mark the front cut line 1¼ inches in front of this reference mark. 8. Align the template centerline to centerline on roof. Align front arrow on the template to front cut line mark. Tape template in place, and apply 2 inch wide masking tape around the outside of the cut line to protect the paint while cutting the roof panel. 9. Make a hole large enough to allow entry of the cutting tool, 1 to 3 inches inside the cut line. If necessary, enlarge the hole using hand held metal snips. Cut the sunroof opening with a suitable metal cutting tool. 10. Use a file to clean up any rough edges or burrs around the sunroof opening. 11. Test fit the sunroof. Trim the hole if required and retest. There should be approximately 1/8 inch (4 mm) clearance front to rear, and side to side. Once proper fit has been achieved, remove the masking tape [ peel inward, toward the opening ] and marking pencil lines from the roof. 12. Apply bare metal primer to the cut edge to prevent the metal from rusting. 13. Clean underside of main frame with wax/grease remover. Apply sealant to the inside lip of the main frame. Use nonacidic silicone, butyl, or the supplied foam tape. If using foam or butyl tape, fully overlap the ends in the rear center at a screw hole. Kit includes foam sealant tape, however some technicians prefer silicone or butyl

STEP 1: INSTALL BULKHEAD ADAPTER ( CONTINUED ) B. Lay Bulkhead Adapter Flange onto the bulkhead (Photo 3) and position the threaded blocks between the knockouts so the holes line up (Photo 4) . Use ¼ – 20 x 1″ counter-sunk screws to secure the Adapter Flange to the bulkhead. STEP 2: INSTALL HOUSING A. Place the Housing Assembly onto the bed rails (Photo 5) . Center it between the rails and leave about ½” of space between the bulkhead and the back of the Housing. Do not fasten the Housing in place. B. Lift the Lid on the Housing and lean it against the cab (Photo 6) . Place a rag between the Lid and cab to prevent scratches. STEP 3: INSTALL TRACKS A. Making sure to leave the Pull Strap connected to the threaded Shipping Stud, rotate the Lock Lever to the 10 o’clock position (Photo 7) . B. Loosely assemble six Track Clamp assem- blies (Photo 8) . Remove the End Caps from the bed rail “C” channels and slide three Track Clamp assemblies into each channel (Photo 9) . Note that the Clamps are labeled “front” , “middle” , and “rear” and must be located accordingly (Photo 10) . Leave the Clamps loose. D. Key the Tracks onto the Housing Stems (Diagram 11), being sure that the Handle is properly engaged into the Tracks and carefully lay the Tracks onto the bed rail (Photo 12) so that the fi n on the underside of each Track seats into the slot in the Clamps (Diagram 13) . E. Use 10 – 24 x ½” truss head screws and Cargo Nuts to secure the Tracks to the Housing Stems (Photo 14) . F. Slide the Clamp assemblies into position so they line up with the double hole patterns located at each end and center of the Track. G. Use 10 – 24 x ½” truss head screws to secure the Clamps to the Tracks (Photo 15) and double check to be sure that Tracks are properly nested into the Clamps. Do not tighten Clamps in place yet and go to step four

INSTALL THE HOUSING A. If not already done, remove the bulkhead deck rail (Photo 4) . B. Place the Housing Assembly onto the bedrails (Photo 5) . This is best accomplished with two people. Insert threaded rectangular blocks (2 each side Crew Max bed; 3 each side short/long bed). INSTALL THE TRACKS ON DECK RAIL E QUIPPED BEDS ( CONTINUED ) Note: The threaded hole is off-centered and the block must be inserted with the hole closest to the bottom (Photo 9) . Note: Tracks for 2007 Tundra truck beds are shipped with the clamp setups for both applications with and without “Deck Rail Systems”. Before proceeding with an application with deck rails, you must first remove the Clamps shown (Photo 10) . C. Lower the tailgate and place the driver’s side Track onto the bedrail (Photo 11) , and key it onto Housing Stem (Diagram 12) , being sure that the Handle is properly engaged into the Track. D. Using 1/4-20 x 1-1/4″ countersunk screws, loosely secure the Tracks to the threaded blocks (Photo 13) . Do not tighten. E. Use a #10-24 x 1/2″ truss head screw and Cargo Nuts to secure the Tracks to the Housing Stems (Photo 14) . Tighten these connections securely. F. With the driver’s side Track in place, repeat sub-steps B-E for the passenger’s side Track. INSTALL THE TAILGATE EXTRUSION A. Lower the tailgate and insert fi ve (5) plastic shims beneath the inside fl ange of the tailgate cap in the locations shown (Photo 15; Diagram 16) . B. Being careful not to strike the ends of the Tracks, close the tailgate and place the Tailgate Extrusion upon the edge of the tailgate, centering it between the Tracks (Photo 17) . C. While holding the Tailgate Extrusion in place, use a #8 x 3/4″ self tapping screw and power screw gun to secure the center hole. (Photo 18) D. Lower the tailgate and hold the Tailgate Extrusion tight and square to the tailgate. Secure each end hole (Photo 19) making sure the screw passes through the shim described in Step (A) above. One-Touch Electronic Control System: The Rampvan One- Touch electronic control system provides simple one-touch activation of all Rampvan power features. For your convenience, the control system can be activated using the Toyota remote keyless entry transmitter, any of the interior-mounted control switches or the optional magnetic entry. Power Passenger Side Sliding Door: The One-Touch electronic control system activates the passenger side power slide door for ramp access. The slide door and lowered floor configuration provides a 53-1/2″ clear vertical passageway. Note: The driver side sliding door is lowered to provide a clear passage also. Ramp: A fully automatic 30″ wide power infloor ramp provides an unobstructed doorway, maximum visibility and increased interior space (with manual override capa- bility). Electromechanical Power Kneeling Rear Suspension: “Kneeling” is the lowering motion of the electromechanical rear suspension. The kneel feature reduces the slope of the ramp when deployed. Lowered Floor from Rear Axle to Firewall: This feature provides additional headroom (58″ floor-to- ceiling at center of van), and further reduces the slope of the ramp when deployed. OEM factory carpeting is featured throughout the lowered floor area. Ground Clearance: The lowered floor results in reduced ground clearance. Be aware of limited ground clearance. Ground Effects: Exterior color- matched ground effect panels conceal the lowered floor and lowered sliding doors. Forward-Facing Wheelchair and Occupant Belt/Track System: One Forward-Facing Wheelchair and Occupant Belt Kit is supplied for the restraint of one wheelchair and occupant. The belt kit is used in conjunction with the floor track. Note: Additional belt kits can be purchased (option) Floor Track for Wheelchair and Occupant Securement in Midpoint Lowered Floor Area: Floor track provided in the midpoint lowered floor area (Position C ) can be utilized for restraint of wheelchair passenger(s). Wheelchair capacity at midpoint may have limitations based on the dimensions of specific wheelchairs. Quick-Release Front Passenger Seat with Floor Track for Wheelchair and Occupant Securement: The passenger seat (Position B ) is equipped with quick-release seat attachments (making seat removal and installation procedures simple). Verify that the coolant is at proper level in the radiator and the coolant recovery bottle. If the coolant is low, add proper amount of 50/50 water and DEX-COOL® mixture. If the low coolant light operates properly, diagnose the cooling system for loss of coolant as outlined in SI. DO NOT proceed further with this bulletin. 2. Remove the low coolant level sensor. Refer to Coolant Level Module Replacement in the Engine Cooling sub-section. 3. With the key on, the engine off and the coolant level sensor disconnected from the vehicle wiring harness, observe the low coolant light: Subject: Low Engine Coolant Level Indicator Always On (Diagnose Low Coolant Level System Operation/Check Sensor for Oil Contamination) Models: 2000-2002 Buick Century, Regal 2000-2001 Chevrolet Lumina 2000-2002 Chevrolet Impala, Monte Carlo 2000-2002 Pontiac Grand Prix 2000-2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue • Light is on — Chassis wiring or instrument cluster concern. Follow the appropriate diagnostic information in SI. • 4. With the key off, connect the coolant level sensor into the vehicle’s wiring harness. Connect a ground wire (1) to the battery negative terminal. Using a sharp probe (3) attached to the ground wire, ground the coolant sensor probe (2) as shown in the illustration. Make sure a good contact is made. With the key on and the engine off, observe the low coolant light for at least 15 seconds. 5. Using a small wire brush or emery cloth, polish the low coolant level sensor probe to remove any film or oxidation. The probe should be a bright brass color when finished. Use Brake Parts Cleaner to flush removed deposits from the low coolant sensor probe. Reinstall the low coolant sensor into the vehicle and proceed to Step 6. 6. Flush the cooling system and install new DEX-COOL® mixture as outlined in the SI. Check the vehicle’s warranty history to determine if any engine gasket had recently been changed. If there has not been a recent gasket replacement, locate and repair the source of the engine oil contamination

1. Make sure you park the vehicle on a level concrete or asphalt surface. Many times a vehicle is unlevel (side-to-side) from the factory, but usually not noticed until a lift kit has been installed which makes the difference more visible. Using a measuring tape, measure the front and rear (both sides) from the ground up to the center of the fender opening above the axle. Record below for future reference. (Note: Due to OEM inconsistency and the available options, the amount of lift gained by this lift kit can vary as much as 1/2″.) Driver Side: Frt______ Rear______, Passenger Side: Frt________ Rear________ 2. Apply a thin coat of grease to the polyurethane bushings and insert into each eye of new springs. Now apply a thin coat of grease on outside of bushings. On SYSTEMS with new rear springs, insert steel sleeve into rear spring eye. Rear spring eye is on the long end of the spring. To Install Front: 3. Raise front of vehicle and support securely with jack stands under the frame behind front spring shackle and block the rear wheels. Remove the tires, shocks, and u-bolts. Care should be taken when removing the front u-bolts because they will be re-used on 3″ kits, not on 3″ SYSTEMS. (Caution: The front axle will now be free to move, so support securely on floor jack.) 4. Remove the anti-sway bar bolts. Remember the arrangement of the rubber bushings and washers. Loosen; do not remove, the bolt attaching the track bar eye to the bracket on the driver’s side of the front axle. This will allow the front axle to drop down easier. (When installing a 7″ kit, remove and discard the anti-sway bar.) 5. With a floor jack supporting the front axle, unbolt each end of front leaf springs and remove from both sides. Install new springs as follows: part #T303S springs can be installed with either end toward front; part #T305S and #T307S must be installed with the thick end of bottom degree shim toward the front of vehicle. (Note: Do NOT tighten spring eye bolts at this time.) Using the floor jack, raise the front axle up to leaf springs. Be sure tie bolts align and fit down into the tie bolt holes in the axle housing. Install front u-bolts. 6. On 3″ and 5″ kits bolt up sway bar using the longer bolts and spacer tubes provided, and using original bushings and washers. Do not over tighten making the bushings bulge or crack. Tighten track bar bolt. (See Photo #1). 7. On 7″ kits remove track bar bolt from bracket on driver’s side of front axle. Install new track bar bracket onto the original bracket with the included bolts and nuts. Attach

1. Remove track bar bolt on passenger side of vehicle on the axle. Retain hardware for later use. See Picture 1 Picture 1 Picture 2 2. Block rear tires and raise the front of the vehicle, support by the frame using jack stands. 3. Remove front wheels and tires, support front axle with a floor jack. See Picture 2 4. Disconnect lower shock mounts. 5. Disconnect sway bar end links. Be careful not to break the links! Use penetrating oil on rusty bolts. Remove bottom hardware if it is easier. Newer model Wranglers and Grand Cherokees require the side of the sway bar to be struck with a hammer to free the end links. See Pictures 3 & 4. Picture 3 Picture 4 6. Remove spring clamps if vehicle is equipped with them 7. Carefully lower the jack supporting the axle. Be careful not to overextend the brake lines and ABS lines on newer models. 8. Remove coil springs and bump stops on Wranglers and Grand Cherokees. On Cherokees the bump stop and cup are one piece, and can be removed by turning the cup, using channel lock pliers. Other models the shaft and the bump stop are small enough to simply slide the spacer over. See Pictures 5 & 6. Picture 5 Picture 6 9. Remove the Bump stop cup. See Picture 7 10. Install front lift spacers. A rubber mallet can be used to ease installation. If installing 2″ spacer leave in factory isolator, if installing 3″ spacer remove the factory isolator. See Picture 8 Picture 7 Picture 8 11. Reinstall bump stop cups and rubber bump stops. See Picture 9 Picture 9 Picture 10 12. Reinstall coil springs in the same location as removed, and make sure springs are in the lower saddles properly. (A spring compressor can ease this process but is not required.) See Picture 10 13. Raise the axle and reconnect the sway bar end links and lower shock mounts. 14. Install wheels and tires and lower vehicle onto the ground. 15. Reconnect the track bar. This can be tricky and requires two people. Have a friend turn the steering wheel slowly, while you align the axle holes with the track bar holes and tighten. 16. Get your vehicle aligned and enjoy your Fat Bob’s Garage lift!

Remove the CCR module which is attached to the back side of the right (passenger side) sound insulator panel. Follow the wiring harness up under the dash assembly and then cut and tape the wiring harness. 1992-1994 Buick Skylark with Computer Command Ride (CCR) This is a stand alone system. Remove the CCR module which is attached to the back side of the right (passenger side) sound insulator panel. Follow the wiring harness up under the dash assembly and then cut and tape the wiring harness. 1993-1996 Buick Park Avenue with Computer Command Ride (CCR) This is a stand alone system. Remove the CCR module, which is located under the carpeting beneath the driver’s seat. 1991-1995 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight with Computer Command Ride (CCR) This is a stand alone system. Remove the CCR module, which is located under the carpeting beneath the driver’s seat. 1994-1999 Pontiac Bonneville with Computer Command Ride (CCR) The feedback strut/shock assemblies are still available for these vehicles. However, if the customer desires to reduce the repair expense, the following steps may be taken to allow installation of non-feedback assemblies and the disabling of the malfunction indicator lamps. This is a stand alone system. Remove the CCR module, which is located under the carpeting beneath the driver’s seat. Parts Information The following parts are required to make the correction on the 1993 Eldorado/Seville and the 1994-1995 DeVille. Parts are currently available from GMSPO
