In order to accommodate the added thickness of the ribs, longer clamp frame screws or peeling one score off a clamp frame may be required. Install as normal, with any of the following options: A. Use CS-105 (3/8″ x 7/16″ D-shaped foam seal) as main frame sealant 1. Measure and cut sunroof hole as usual 2. Apply self-adhesive CS-105 to sunroof frame (approx. 9 ft. per sunroof). 3. Join CS-105 ends at a 45° angle (not a butt joint). Apply sealant to the joint. 4. Clamp sunroof into hole as usual. No cleanup is required. B. Use non-corrosive silicone sealant to fill between the ribs. 1. Measure and cut sunroof hole as usual 2. Apply a bead of silicone in between the ribs to fill the gap 3. Apply a bead of silicone to sunroof frame (in place of butyl or foam tape) 4. Clamp sunroof into hole as usual. Longer screws may be required on some sunroofs. 5. Cleanup is required. Neatly smooth and feather the silicone around the sunroof frame. NOTE : shims can be helpful, but are not required – metal frames will not twist out of shape II. Composite Frame Sunroofs [see illustrations] Composite frames are not as rigid as metal, and tend to twist inward when installed in ribbed or thick roof skins. Use silicone sealant to seal the frame against the roof, and shims prevent the frame from bending out of shape. A. Required materials: 1.3/16″ thick x 1/4″ – 3/8″ wide [width of outer frame lip] hard black rubber or vinyl material. Body side molding works well. 2.1/8″ thick x 1/4″ wide plastic or vinyl 3. Paint sticks (for use as shim blocks) 4. Non-corrosive silicone sealant 5. Longer clamp ring screws are recommended to accommodate the extra roof thickness B. Procedure: 1. Measure and cut sunroof hole as usual 2. Cut strips of 3/16″ thick material to fit between each rib at the sunroof hole. Run a bead of non-corrosive silicone in troughs between ribs and set strips into it. Fill any gaps with silicone. Objective is to create a flat area for sunroof to seal against. Clean overrun. Allow silicone to set to minimize shifting while installing. 3. Cut strips of 1/8″ thick x 1/4″ wide material to fit between clamp ring and main frame. Glue to inside edge of clamp frame, between screw holes. Without this inside shim, the sunroof main frame will twist, causing gaps betweeen the glass and seal which will result in water leaks. 4. Insert paint sticks in channel gap between edge of sunroof glass and frame. This will minimize inward distortion of the frame. 5. Install sunroof as usual, using non-corrosive silicone sealant (not butyl or foam). Allow silicone to set for at least 1 hour before removing shims

SUNROOF KIT PREPARATION 1. Verify that sunroof kit is complete and undamaged. 2. Bench test the sunroof to ensure proper operation. Close the glass fully before continuing. 3. Cover the vehicle interior to keep clean and prevent damage. SUNROOF INSTALLATION 4. Position the sunroof : Place the interior shade tray against the interior headliner and position to avoid any obstructions, allowing 4 inches clearance in front for the motor. Consider obstructions hidden by the headliner such as roof header, side rails and cross bows. NOTE: motor can be located above most consoles. Place the point of a scratch awl against the center inside front lip of the headliner ring (inside edge of the shade tray). Pierce the headliner, and make a slight dent in the roof panel that will be easily visible on top of the vehicle 5. Carefully remove the entire headliner board from the vehicle. 6. If applicable, remove anti-flutter roof bows from the inside of the roof. Do not remove, cut or modify any structural braces, headers or side rails. 7. Measure and mark a front-to-rear center line on the outside of the roof with a marking pencil. Draw a “reference mark” crossing the center line at the roof dent made in step 4. Measure and mark the front cut line 1¼ inches in front of this reference mark. 8. Align the template centerline to centerline on roof. Align front arrow on the template to front cut line mark. Tape template in place, and apply 2 inch wide masking tape around the outside of the cut line to protect the paint while cutting the roof panel. 9. Make a hole large enough to allow entry of the cutting tool, 1 to 3 inches inside the cut line. If necessary, enlarge the hole using hand held metal snips. Cut the sunroof opening with a suitable metal cutting tool. 10. Use a file to clean up any rough edges or burrs around the sunroof opening. 11. Test fit the sunroof. Trim the hole if required and retest. There should be approximately 1/8 inch (4 mm) clearance front to rear, and side to side. Once proper fit has been achieved, remove the masking tape [ peel inward, toward the opening ] and marking pencil lines from the roof. 12. Apply bare metal primer to the cut edge to prevent the metal from rusting. 13. Clean underside of main frame with wax/grease remover. Apply sealant to the inside lip of the main frame. Use nonacidic silicone, butyl, or the supplied foam tape. If using foam or butyl tape, fully overlap the ends in the rear center at a screw hole. Kit includes foam sealant tape, however some technicians prefer silicone or butyl

1. Opening the sunroof, just after it rains. Standing water on the glass will usually result in water dripping into the cabin. This is not a sunroof fault. Prevention is the solution! Simply drive a short distance to allow any standing water to blow off the glass prior to opening the sunroof. 2. Only after a car wash. High pressure water sprayed directly at the seal will often deflect the seal enough to enter the cabin. This is not a sunroof fault. Prevention is the solution! Don’t spray high pressure water directly on the seal. 3. During a rainstorm, water is immediately visible dripping on the rubber seal under the glass. There may be a problem with glass to seal contact. Carefully examine the seal. If it is visibly damaged or worn, it may need replacement. If dirty, it needs cleaning. An adjustment may solve the problem. Always water test to verify (see sprinkle test procedure below). a. Often dirt or debris will prevent proper contact between the glass and seal. Clean both the glass and seal with plain water (a damp cloth), or if very dirty, a mild detergent solution. Repeat water test after cleaning. If water intrusion between glass and seal continues, adjust the glass hardware. b. Adjust the glass hardware to increase clamping pressure on the seal. See procedure below. Repeat water test after adjusting. If water intrusion between glass and seal continues, replace seal. 4. Water is visible dripping through the glass hardware: Water test to verify (soak and sprinkle). You may need to slightly shift the glass hardware or change the rubber gaskets under the rectangular mounting plates. 5. After a long soaking rain the headliner gets wet. This is likely the result of water coming under the main frame or under the seal. Only a soak test will prove this. a. Under the main frame: remove the screw cover strip or pull back the headliner (of wrapped) and examine the clamping screws. Water spots or rusty screws are an indication that water is coming under the main frame. Remove the clamp frame and water spots or rust will likely be visible on the inside of the roofskin. This can be the result of an over-cut hole, a sunroof not centered on the hole (left a gap) or inadequate sealant. Solution: Remove the sunroof and re-install with new sealant. If the hole was over-cut, a larger size may be required. b. Underneath the main seal: carefully examine and verify proper seal insertion around perimeter of sunroof frame. Bottom of seal should be adhered to main frame with butyl tape. Top outer lip should be mechanically inserted into groove in frame. You may be able to manipulate the seal slightly to correct the problem. Otherwise replace the seal. c. Frame joint: typically will see water spots or rust on hinge block and handle mounting screws, particularly on the right hand side. Remove the knock-in bead and examine the channel for water or water spots. Solution: pull back the main seal at the passenger side and apply a small amount of silicone sealant across the frame joint. Allow to dry before reinserting the main seal.

One-Touch Electronic Control System: The Rampvan One- Touch electronic control system provides simple one-touch activation of all Rampvan power features. For your convenience, the control system can be activated using the Toyota remote keyless entry transmitter, any of the interior-mounted control switches or the optional magnetic entry. Power Passenger Side Sliding Door: The One-Touch electronic control system activates the passenger side power slide door for ramp access. The slide door and lowered floor configuration provides a 53-1/2″ clear vertical passageway. Note: The driver side sliding door is lowered to provide a clear passage also. Ramp: A fully automatic 30″ wide power infloor ramp provides an unobstructed doorway, maximum visibility and increased interior space (with manual override capa- bility). Electromechanical Power Kneeling Rear Suspension: “Kneeling” is the lowering motion of the electromechanical rear suspension. The kneel feature reduces the slope of the ramp when deployed. Lowered Floor from Rear Axle to Firewall: This feature provides additional headroom (58″ floor-to- ceiling at center of van), and further reduces the slope of the ramp when deployed. OEM factory carpeting is featured throughout the lowered floor area. Ground Clearance: The lowered floor results in reduced ground clearance. Be aware of limited ground clearance. 1 . Operating the sunroof normally, slide the glass open part way. Do not open fully. The glass must be driven past the vent only position, revealing at least 2 inches of open space in front. If the sunroof will not slide back at least 2 inches under its own power, DO NOT PROCEED – refer to technical staff. 2. Remove the motor from the sunroof. 3. For H300L/M, Skyroof LS, disengage the drive gear from the cables by removing the gearbox cover plate and removing the gear. NOTE: H300L/M & Skyroof LS drive the gear from a splined shaft on the motor. The main drive gear is part of motor assembly on Sport, X48, X1000, ASI300/450, therefore this step is not neeccessarry for those models. 3 . Gripping the front edge of the glass, gently push the glass open until both left and right sides stop. Verify that the glass is fully open. Verify that the leading edge of the glass panel is parallel to the frame leading edge. 4. Check screws on cable guide housing (bright casting that motor engages) . If loose, check [re- insert] cable guide tube ends, apply Loc-Tite to screw threads and re-tighten. Additional for Sport Spoiler : Check left and right cable guide tube ends. Clamps should securely hold cable guide tube ends in place. If not, remove clamp, bend straight (or replace) and reinstall clamp over guide tube ends. Caution – overtightnening screws will strip threads . 5 . Re-install the motor [and drive gear components] . Drive the sunroof open and closed several cycles. 6 . Verify that the sunroof is operating properly and that the problem has been resolved. If not resolved, refer totechnical staff.

Verify that the coolant is at proper level in the radiator and the coolant recovery bottle. If the coolant is low, add proper amount of 50/50 water and DEX-COOL® mixture. If the low coolant light operates properly, diagnose the cooling system for loss of coolant as outlined in SI. DO NOT proceed further with this bulletin. 2. Remove the low coolant level sensor. Refer to Coolant Level Module Replacement in the Engine Cooling sub-section. 3. With the key on, the engine off and the coolant level sensor disconnected from the vehicle wiring harness, observe the low coolant light: Subject: Low Engine Coolant Level Indicator Always On (Diagnose Low Coolant Level System Operation/Check Sensor for Oil Contamination) Models: 2000-2002 Buick Century, Regal 2000-2001 Chevrolet Lumina 2000-2002 Chevrolet Impala, Monte Carlo 2000-2002 Pontiac Grand Prix 2000-2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue • Light is on — Chassis wiring or instrument cluster concern. Follow the appropriate diagnostic information in SI. • 4. With the key off, connect the coolant level sensor into the vehicle’s wiring harness. Connect a ground wire (1) to the battery negative terminal. Using a sharp probe (3) attached to the ground wire, ground the coolant sensor probe (2) as shown in the illustration. Make sure a good contact is made. With the key on and the engine off, observe the low coolant light for at least 15 seconds. 5. Using a small wire brush or emery cloth, polish the low coolant level sensor probe to remove any film or oxidation. The probe should be a bright brass color when finished. Use Brake Parts Cleaner to flush removed deposits from the low coolant sensor probe. Reinstall the low coolant sensor into the vehicle and proceed to Step 6. 6. Flush the cooling system and install new DEX-COOL® mixture as outlined in the SI. Check the vehicle’s warranty history to determine if any engine gasket had recently been changed. If there has not been a recent gasket replacement, locate and repair the source of the engine oil contamination

STEP 1: INSTALL BULKHEAD ADAPTER ( CONTINUED ) B. Lay Bulkhead Adapter Flange onto the bulkhead (Photo 3) and position the threaded blocks between the knockouts so the holes line up (Photo 4) . Use ¼ – 20 x 1″ counter-sunk screws to secure the Adapter Flange to the bulkhead. STEP 2: INSTALL HOUSING A. Place the Housing Assembly onto the bed rails (Photo 5) . Center it between the rails and leave about ½” of space between the bulkhead and the back of the Housing. Do not fasten the Housing in place. B. Lift the Lid on the Housing and lean it against the cab (Photo 6) . Place a rag between the Lid and cab to prevent scratches. STEP 3: INSTALL TRACKS A. Making sure to leave the Pull Strap connected to the threaded Shipping Stud, rotate the Lock Lever to the 10 o’clock position (Photo 7) . B. Loosely assemble six Track Clamp assem- blies (Photo 8) . Remove the End Caps from the bed rail “C” channels and slide three Track Clamp assemblies into each channel (Photo 9) . Note that the Clamps are labeled “front” , “middle” , and “rear” and must be located accordingly (Photo 10) . Leave the Clamps loose. D. Key the Tracks onto the Housing Stems (Diagram 11), being sure that the Handle is properly engaged into the Tracks and carefully lay the Tracks onto the bed rail (Photo 12) so that the fi n on the underside of each Track seats into the slot in the Clamps (Diagram 13) . E. Use 10 – 24 x ½” truss head screws and Cargo Nuts to secure the Tracks to the Housing Stems (Photo 14) . F. Slide the Clamp assemblies into position so they line up with the double hole patterns located at each end and center of the Track. G. Use 10 – 24 x ½” truss head screws to secure the Clamps to the Tracks (Photo 15) and double check to be sure that Tracks are properly nested into the Clamps. Do not tighten Clamps in place yet and go to step four

1. Make sure you park the vehicle on a level concrete or asphalt surface. Many times a vehicle is unlevel (side-to-side) from the factory, but usually not noticed until a lift kit has been installed which makes the difference more visible. Using a measuring tape, measure the front and rear (both sides) from the ground up to the center of the fender opening above the axle. Record below for future reference. (Note: Due to OEM inconsistency and the available options, the amount of lift gained by this lift kit can vary as much as 1/2″.) Driver Side: Frt______ Rear______, Passenger Side: Frt________ Rear________ 2. Apply a thin coat of grease to the polyurethane bushings and insert into each eye of new springs. Now apply a thin coat of grease on outside of bushings. On SYSTEMS with new rear springs, insert steel sleeve into rear spring eye. Rear spring eye is on the long end of the spring. To Install Front: 3. Raise front of vehicle and support securely with jack stands under the frame behind front spring shackle and block the rear wheels. Remove the tires, shocks, and u-bolts. Care should be taken when removing the front u-bolts because they will be re-used on 3″ kits, not on 3″ SYSTEMS. (Caution: The front axle will now be free to move, so support securely on floor jack.) 4. Remove the anti-sway bar bolts. Remember the arrangement of the rubber bushings and washers. Loosen; do not remove, the bolt attaching the track bar eye to the bracket on the driver’s side of the front axle. This will allow the front axle to drop down easier. (When installing a 7″ kit, remove and discard the anti-sway bar.) 5. With a floor jack supporting the front axle, unbolt each end of front leaf springs and remove from both sides. Install new springs as follows: part #T303S springs can be installed with either end toward front; part #T305S and #T307S must be installed with the thick end of bottom degree shim toward the front of vehicle. (Note: Do NOT tighten spring eye bolts at this time.) Using the floor jack, raise the front axle up to leaf springs. Be sure tie bolts align and fit down into the tie bolt holes in the axle housing. Install front u-bolts. 6. On 3″ and 5″ kits bolt up sway bar using the longer bolts and spacer tubes provided, and using original bushings and washers. Do not over tighten making the bushings bulge or crack. Tighten track bar bolt. (See Photo #1). 7. On 7″ kits remove track bar bolt from bracket on driver’s side of front axle. Install new track bar bracket onto the original bracket with the included bolts and nuts. Attach
