Non-Enhanced EVAP System Diagnostic Procedure 1. Pinch off or plug the EVAP vapor line to seal the EVAP system. 2. Connect the EEST red battery clip to the positive (+) battery terminal. Connect the black battery clip to chassis ground. 3. Install the appropriate fuel fill cap adapter to the fuel fill pipe. Refer to the Service Information for the appropriate fuel fill cap adapter part number. 4. Connect the EEST’s nitrogen/smoke supply hose and vehicle fuel fill cap to the adapter. 5. Turn the nitrogen/smoke valve on the EEST control panel to SMOKE. 6. Use the remote switch to introduce smoke into the EVAP system for 60 seconds. Important: Additional smoke may need to be introduced at 15-second intervals until the leak source has been located. 7. Inspect the entire EVAP system for exiting smoke using the high intensity white light (J 41413-SPT). Enhanced EVAP System Leak Detection Procedure When diagnosing DTCs P0440, P0442, P0446 and P0455, use the J 41413-200 EEST along with 1. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF. 2. Command the EVAP vent valve closed with a scan tool.* *Prizm: In order to seal the EVAP system on the 1998-2002 Prizm, bypass the EVAP canister by connecting the fuel tank vapor hose to the canister purge line. Refer to the Service Information for additional information. 3. Connect the EEST red battery clip to the positive (+) battery terminal. Connect the black battery clip to chassis ground. 4. Install the appropriate fuel fill cap adapter to the fuel fill pipe. Refer to the Service Information for the appropriate fuel fill cap adapter part number. 5. Connect the EEST’s nitrogen/smoke supply hose and vehicle fuel fill cap to the adapter. 6. Turn the nitrogen/smoke valve on the EEST control panel to SMOKE. 7. Use the remote switch to introduce smoke into the EVAP system. 8. Use the J 41413-VLV EVAP Port Vent Fitting tool to open the EVAP service port (if equipped) until smoke is observed. 9. Remove the J 41413-VLV EVAP Port Vent Fitting tool once smoke is observed. Important: Additional smoke may need to be introduced at 15-second intervals until the leak source has been located.

Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Vent Solenoid Valve Replacement Pickup Removal Procedure Important Clean the evaporative emission (EVAP) connections and surrounding areas prior to disconnecting the fittings in order to avoid possible system contamination. 1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information. 2. Remove the harness clip from the canister vent solenoid (CVS) line. 3. Disconnect the CVS electrical connector. 2004 Chevrolet Chevy K Silverado – 4WD 4. If the vehicle is equipped with a 6 ft box, disconnect the EVAP CVS line from the canister. 5. Remove the CVS clip from the frame crossmember. 6. Push in the retainer and remove the CVS from the fuel tank clip. 7. If the vehicle is equipped with a 8 ft box, disconnect the EVAP CVS line from the canister. 8. Remove the CVS clip from the frame crossmember. 9. Push in the retainer and remove the CVS from the fuel tank clip. Installation Procedure 1. If the vehicle is equipped with a 8 ft box, install the CVS to the fuel tank until the clip engages. Important On vehicles equipped with a 8 ft box, the CVS line is routed below the frame crossmember. 2. Install the CVS clip to the frame crossmember. 3. Connect the EVAP CVS line to the canister. 4. If the vehicle is equipped with a 6 ft box, install the CVS to the fuel tank until the clip engages. Important On vehicles equipped with a 6 ft box, the CVS line is routed above the frame crossmember. 5. Install the CVS clip to the frame crossmember. 6. Connect the EVAP CVS line to the canister. 7. Connect the CVS electrical connector. 8. Install the harness clip to the canister vent solenoid (CVS) line. 9. Lower the vehicle.

1. Based upon stored fault codes for secondary air system, there is little or no flow of secondary air into engine. Typical causes for this issue are failed secondary air pumps and/or secondary air check valves. Secondary air pump should operate under normal circumstances when vehicle is first started to perform system test. Pump will normally be heard running when standing in front right corner of vehicle. 2. The secondary air pump is located in the right front of engine compartment. A secondary air pump relay located in the glove box is controlled by the engine control module and sends power to the secondary air pump. 3. Air pump can be disconnected and supplied with power and ground at pump to verify operation is possible. 4. Check valve on front right of cylinder head can be supplied with vacuum and visually checked for opening of valve. 5. Vacuum line from check valve to operating solenoid should also be inspected for cracks or being disconnected. Vacuum line follows right side of cylinder head to back of cylinder head to the secondary air solenoid located under left rear side of intake manifold. 6. The solenoid should allow vacuum flow to the check valve during vacuum pump operation. The solenoid is controlled directly by the engine control module and receives power during key-on-engine-off. Potential Causes: A.I.R. Check Valve Engine Control Module (ECM) Codes — Engine control module fault. Tighten Tighten the bracket mounting bolt to 12 N?m (106 lb in). Connect the vent valve pipe to the EVAP canister. • Install the two vent valve pipe clips into the existing underbody holes. • Connect the EVAP canister vent valve electrical connector, if equipped. • Attach bulk 5/8″ heater hose to the vent valve port and secure using a clamp. Run a length as needed along the frame rail routing to the area above the transmission. • Cut the hose to determined length and install the supplied filter box. Secure using a clamp. • Remove the transmission support and lower the transmission assembly as necessary to allow for access to the new filter box location using a tie strap. DO NOT pinch or restrict the transmission vent hose. The filter box opening should be pointing downward. • Raise the transmission and reinstall the transmission support. • Tie strap the hose as needed along the frame rail in order to keep the hose away from pinch*points and heat sources. • Lower the vehicle. • 2004-2007 Model Year (Use Service Kit P/N 19152349) Raise the vehicle. Suitably support the vehicle. • Disconnect the EVAP canister vent valve electrical connector. • Disconnect the canister pipe from the vent valve. • Push in the retainer and remove the existing canister vent valve from the fuel tank clip or mounting bracket. Discard the old valve. • Cut back the existing canister pipe approximately 51 mm (2 in) to remove the quick connect end. Crew Cab Short Box Shown Below, Other Configurations Similar Extended Cab Short Box Shown Below, Other Configurations Similar Install the new canister vent valve to the fuel tank clip or mounting bracket. • Cut bulk 5/8″ heater hose to a length of approximately 76 mm (3 in). Install the hose between the vent valve and the canister pipe and secure using clamps. • Attach bulk 5/8″ heater hose to the vent valve port and secure using a clamp. Run a length as needed along the frame rail routing to the area above the transmission. • Cut the hose to determined length and install the supplied filter box. Secure using a clamp. •

SUBJECT: TIMING CONNECTOR LOCATION CHANGE MODELS: 1994 CHEVROLET AND GMC C/K TRUCKS WITH GASOLINE ENGINES The timing connector, which can be disconnected to return engine timing to base for adjustment purposes, has been moved from the engine compartment to inside the cab. This new location is not currently reflected in the Service or Owner’s Manual. The new location is under the dash directly below the glove compartment. The tan/black wire is routed for a short distance outside of a large wiring harness. This large harness is routed between the heater blower motor and evaporator case. The timing connector is taped to the wire bundle (Figure 1)

IF YOU CONFIRM The ABS light is ON with one or more of the following DTC stored, • C1105 – RR RH Sensor 2 • C1110 – Controller Failure • C1124 – RR LH IN ABS SOL • C1126 – RR RH IN ABS SOL and/or The ABS system activates with normal braking. ACTIONS 1. Remove only the right rear brake rotor, wheel hub assembly, baffle plate and ABS wheel sensor. 2. Clean the corrosion off of the knuckle, wheel hub assembly, and baffle plate. 3. Grind a notch in the knuckle locating hole (locating hole for plastic hub cap). 4. Reassemble using the new plastic hub cap and a new ABS wheel sensor. 5. If code C1126 and/or C1124 is stored; replace the ABS actuator. 6. Test drive vehicle; recheck for code C1110 (refer to step 10 in the Service Procedure). IMPORTANT: The purpose of “ACTIONS” (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. Remove the brake pads. NOTE: Do not depress the brake pedal while the brake pads are removed. Checking and cleaning the rear brake calipers Clean brake pad contact surfaces in the brake caliper and on the caliper mounting. Check the dirt guard for the piston. Replace the dirt guard if it is worn. Recondition the brake caliper if the dirt guard is defective. NOTE: If the dirt guard is defective, dirt may have penetrated the cylinder. Therefore the brake caliper must be reconditioned. Checking the rear brake disc Check the brake disc surface. Check the lateral runout of the brake disc if the disc is uneven. Replace the brake disc if it is worn or grooved. NOTE: Minimum disc thickness = 8.4 mm . If installing new brake pads, the minimum disc thickness must be at least 8.9 mm . Checking the locating pins for the rear brake calipers Check the rubber sleeves on the locating pins. Replace if necessary. If necessary, lubricate the locating pins using Volvo silicon grease (P/N 1161325-4). Insert the locating pins in the rubber sleeves. The locating pins must slide into the sleeves easily. Rotating the brake piston backwards Block the brake caliper against the brake disc. Use special tool 999 5782. * Turn the plate (A) forward over the shaft and insert the tool * Install the lugs (B) in the cut-out in the brake piston * Turn the shaft (C) so that the plate (A) presses against the brake caliper * Turn the axle (D) to the right and press the piston back while turning the shaft (C) to the right so that the plate (A) is in contact with the brake caliper * Turn the brake piston back fully and remove the tool Install the wear indicator (A) on the under side of the inner installed brake pads. Install the brake pads. Position the brake caliper . Install the new locking bolt. Tighten to 33 Nm . Install the brake hose in the support. Install the retaining clip. NOTE: Secure adhesive foil onto the steel plates to prevent the rear brake pads from rattling. Installing the wheels Install wheels. Checking the brake fluid level WARNING: Always depress the brake pedal repeatedly before test driving the car. Check the brake fluid level

Installation Guide: Thank you for purchasing extendmyseat brackets. Please follow the directions carefully and within 30 minutes you will be loving your new seats. Inventory in Box: 2- extendmyseat brackets 4- black 3/8 x ¾’ stainless grade 8 bolts 1- M10 x 125 by 1.35″ grade 8.8 bolt w/ washer What you will need for assembly: 1- socket wrench 1- 9/16 socket & 1 11/16 SOCKET 1- Metric 13 socket (Prius uses metric bolts however a 9/16 works) 1- 9/16 flat wrench 1- 3/32 allen wrench 1- protective eyewear Step 1- Remove the 2 Black extendmyseat brackets from the packaging and locate the 4 black 3/8″ provided bolts. Step 2- Go to your vehicle with a socket wrench, a 3.32 allen wrench and a 9/16 socket, eye protection and your keys. Remember to turn off your cabin lights. Step 3- Locate the 4 factory bolts that hold your drivers seat to the vehicle. Take your socket wrench and loosen the 4 factory bolts. (2 in the front and 2 behind your seat, go to rear seat to locate) Remove the 2 plastic guards to locate the 2 rear factory bolts. Remove the 4 factory bolts and set them aside Toyota Prius GEN 2 PASSENGER Extender Install Guide Step 4- Unplug the 3 factory cables plugged into your car seat under the front portion of the seat. No tools required. Remember to plug these back in after you have completed the install. Step 5- Remove your car seat carefully. (Approx weight is 25 pounds) Step 6- Place your factory seat on a bench or on the ground on a clean sheet, towel etc…(don’t want to et it dirty) Step 7- Locate the “U” shaped Bracket and loosen the 2 ??? sized bolts. Step 7- Grab the 2 extendmyseatbrackets Toyota Prius GEN 2 PASSENGER Extender Install Guide Step 8- Lay down the 2 black EMS brackets inside your vehicle and line up the 4 hole locations. Start with the front 2 holes. Almost tighten the 2 front factory bolts into the 2 front EMS bracket holes. The (1) M10 bolt provided will be used on the hole facing the inside of the vehicle in the rear of bracket B. You will need this longer bolt to connect the EMS bracket the factory rear hole location. For the 4th factory hole, line up the last remaining rear hole on bracket A rear.
