INTERNAL TCM Circuit Description The TCM is reporting internal errors. Diagnostic Procedure 1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove transmission control relay. Measure resistance between ground and relay ground circuit (Black/Yellow wire) in relay connector. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open circuit. If resistance s not greater than 5 ohms, go to next step. 2. The TCM has an internal problem and must be replaced. P0715: INPUT SPEED SENSOR ERROR Circuit Description DTC P0715 will set if an excessive change in input RPM has been detected in any gear. Possible Causes * Intermittent wiring and connector problems. * Faulty input speed sensor. * Input speed sensor circuits shorted to ground, shorted to voltage, or open. * Faulty TCM. Diagnostic Procedure 1. Place gear selector in “P” position and start engine. Using scan tool, monitor input speed sensor value. If value is less than 400 RPM, go to next step. If value is not less than 400 RPM, go to step 9. 2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Install Transmission Simulator (8333). Turn ignition on. Using transmission simulator, turn rotary knob to middle (1000/3000) position. Turn INPUT/OUTPUT switch on. Using scan tool, monitor input and output speed sensor values. If input speed sensor value is 2950- 3050 RPM and output speed sensor value is 950-1050 RPM, replace input speed sensor. If speed sensor values are not as specified, go to next step. 3. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect TCM harness connector. Remove transmission control relay. Using fused jumper wire, jumper fused B+ circuit (Red/White wire) and transmission relay output circuit (Red wire) together at relay connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and input speed sensor signal circuit (Red/Black wire) at TCM harness connector. If voltage is greater than 3 volts, repair circuit for short to voltage. If voltage is not greater than 3 volts, remove jumper wire, install relay and go to next step. 4. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect input speed sensor harness connector. Measure resistance of input speed sensor signal circuit (Red/Black wire) between TCM and input speed sensor. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open circuit. If resistance is not greater than 5 ohms, go to next step. 5. Measure resistance of input speed sensor ground circuit (Dark Blue/Black wire) between TCM and input

1996-2001 Honda Civic – ALL Civic Rear Main Oil Seal Leaks Repair manual

download
REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Remove the transmission. Refer to section 13 or 14 of the appropriate service manual. 2. Remove and discard the rear main oil seal (crankshaft oil seal). 3. Install the new oil seal. Refer to page 7 – 29 of the ’96-00 service manual or page 7-27 of the ’01 service manual. 4. Reinstall the transmission. 5. Reinstall the drain plug with a new sealing washer. 6. Refill the transmission with the appropriate fluid. 7. 2001 models only. Do the idle learn procedure: Make sure all electrical items (A/C, audio unit, defogger, lights, etc.) are turned off, then start the engine. Let the engine warm up to its normal operating temperature (the cooling fan cycles twice). Let the engine idle (throttle fully closed with all electrical items turned off) for 10 minutes. 8. 2001 2-door EX and LX models only. Drive the vehicle above 40 mph for 5 to 10 minutes with the cruise control on. (This lets the cruise control actuator learn how much slack there is in the throttle cable.)

1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee Ribbed Roof Installation Manual

download
In order to accommodate the added thickness of the ribs, longer clamp frame screws or peeling one score off a clamp frame may be required. Install as normal, with any of the following options: A. Use CS-105 (3/8″ x 7/16″ D-shaped foam seal) as main frame sealant 1. Measure and cut sunroof hole as usual 2. Apply self-adhesive CS-105 to sunroof frame (approx. 9 ft. per sunroof). 3. Join CS-105 ends at a 45° angle (not a butt joint). Apply sealant to the joint. 4. Clamp sunroof into hole as usual. No cleanup is required. B. Use non-corrosive silicone sealant to fill between the ribs. 1. Measure and cut sunroof hole as usual 2. Apply a bead of silicone in between the ribs to fill the gap 3. Apply a bead of silicone to sunroof frame (in place of butyl or foam tape) 4. Clamp sunroof into hole as usual. Longer screws may be required on some sunroofs. 5. Cleanup is required. Neatly smooth and feather the silicone around the sunroof frame. NOTE : shims can be helpful, but are not required – metal frames will not twist out of shape II. Composite Frame Sunroofs [see illustrations] Composite frames are not as rigid as metal, and tend to twist inward when installed in ribbed or thick roof skins. Use silicone sealant to seal the frame against the roof, and shims prevent the frame from bending out of shape. A. Required materials: 1.3/16″ thick x 1/4″ – 3/8″ wide [width of outer frame lip] hard black rubber or vinyl material. Body side molding works well. 2.1/8″ thick x 1/4″ wide plastic or vinyl 3. Paint sticks (for use as shim blocks) 4. Non-corrosive silicone sealant 5. Longer clamp ring screws are recommended to accommodate the extra roof thickness B. Procedure: 1. Measure and cut sunroof hole as usual 2. Cut strips of 3/16″ thick material to fit between each rib at the sunroof hole. Run a bead of non-corrosive silicone in troughs between ribs and set strips into it. Fill any gaps with silicone. Objective is to create a flat area for sunroof to seal against. Clean overrun. Allow silicone to set to minimize shifting while installing. 3. Cut strips of 1/8″ thick x 1/4″ wide material to fit between clamp ring and main frame. Glue to inside edge of clamp frame, between screw holes. Without this inside shim, the sunroof main frame will twist, causing gaps betweeen the glass and seal which will result in water leaks. 4. Insert paint sticks in channel gap between edge of sunroof glass and frame. This will minimize inward distortion of the frame. 5. Install sunroof as usual, using non-corrosive silicone sealant (not butyl or foam). Allow silicone to set for at least 1 hour before removing shims

FRONT 1. Read complete instructions before beginning installation, the following special tools are recommended: Coil spring compressor, floor jack, jack stands, and metric hand tools. 2. Jack the vehicle in the center of the front axle. 3. Support the vehicle by placing jack stands on the frame behind the control arms so that the front tire/wheels are off the ground freely. 4. Remove the front tires/wheels. 5. Remove the lower shock nuts that secure the shock to the axle on both sides. 6. Remove the coil springs. 7. Remove the upper coil spring isolator and install onto the coil spring spacers. 8. Starting on the left side of the vehicle install the coil spring spacer onto the frame. 9. Install the coil spring. Note the position of the spring as it seats into the lower coil spring isolator on the axle so that it is at its stop. It must be seated into the coil spring isolator. 10. In order to complete step # 9 on the right side of the vehicle you may have to use a coil spring compressor in order to install the coil spring. You may also disconnect the lower lateral track bar on the front end. 11. Jack the axle and reconnect the lower shock nuts that secure the shock to the axle. 12. Install the front tires/wheels. 13. Lower the vehicle onto the ground. 14. Torque all bolts to factory specifications and re-torque after 500 miles.. 15. Daystar recommends having the front end alignment checked after installing the coil spring spacer lift
