CONDITION POSSIBLE CAUSE COMMON REPAIR Top RollerComes Rail bent or widened condition Replace the upper slide door rail. Top Roller Comes Out of Rail Guide The stopper at the end of the rail is loose or missing. Replace the stopper as needed. Door out of adjustment. Adjust levelness of the door, according to Repair Manual. Dragging Open/Close Mll Running board rubs against the bottom of the sliding door. Adjust running board to proper position and assure clearance from the door. Manually Roller rails have bent or warp condition. Dirt or debris in the rails and rollers. Clean rails and rollers. Replace damaged parts. CONDITION POSSIBLE CAUSE COMMON REPAIR Creak Noise Junction block, damaged components, and other issues Refer to TSB No. BO003-99, “Sliding Door Creak Noise Reduction.” Refer to the “Common Sources of Creak Noise” section of this bulletin for additional information for sources of creak noise. Rattle or Clicking (NOT Creak Noise) Door moving when driving over bumps Rollers loose or damaged Adjust lower roller base mounting to bring door closer to body (Refer to TIS, applicable model year Sienna Repair Manual, Vehicle Exterior – Door/Hatch – “Slide Door: Adjustment”). Adjust strikers to bring door closer to the body. Inspect the latch assembly and replace, if damaged. Replace damaged rollers. Noise During Open/Close Rollers or rails are damaged and/or dirty. Inspect, clean, and/or replace as needed

Repair Procedure 1. Confirm that the condition is the rear driveshaft clunk/thunk noise. A. Test drive the vehicle and confirm the customer’scomplaint. B. Place the transfer casein 4WDHighwiththe center differential lock ed. Remove the rear driveshaft and test drive the vehicle. Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), 2007 or 2008 model year Tundra Repair Manual, Drivetrain -Driveshaft/Propeller Shaft-”Propeller Shaft: Propeller Shaft Assembly (for 4WD): Removal” C. Is the clunk/thunk noise eliminated when coming to a stop and/or when accelerating froma stop? •If Yes-Replace rear driveshaft (propeller shaft assembly). Go to Step 2. •If No-This TSB does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis to isolate cause of condition Repair Procedure (Continued) 2. Install the NEW driveshaft (propeller shaft) assembly. Refer to TSB DL 001-07 for the installation method for 3 joint driveshaftassemb lies on 2007 model year Tundra. Refer to TIS, 2007 or 2008 model year Tundra Repair Manual, Drivetrain -Driveshaft/Propeller Shaft-”Propeller Shaft: Propeller Shaft Assembly (for 4WD): Installation” NOTE Re-usethespacers provided under the center support bearing to ensure the proper alignment of the center support bearing. 3. Test drive and confirm that NO abnormal vibrations or shudders occur while driving, and that the driveshaft clunk/thunk noise is eliminated.

Removal and Installation 1. Position front wheels in the straight ahead position. 2. Disconnect positive battery cable. 3. Remove cluster finish panel, please refer to Body and Frame/Interior Trim/Dash Board/Service and Repair/ See 4. Disconnect all electrical connections from steering column switches. 5. Remove two bolts and reinforcement from under steering column. 6. Disengage insulator retainer and remove insulator. 7. Remove four nuts and absorber assembly from under steering column. CAUTION: Do not rotate steering column shaft. 8. Disconnect park brake release cable and wiring connector from park brake and ignition switch wiring connector. 9. Remove four nuts retaining steering column to support, disconnect PRNDL cable (column shift) and lower column on front seat. Cover front seat to protect from damage. 10. Install lock cylinder to ensure that steering column shaft does not turn. 11. Remove four retaining screws from cluster, disconnect wiring and remove. 12. Remove one bolt at steering column opening attaching instrument panel to brace 13. Remove one instrument panel brace retaining bolt (under the radio area). 14. Remove sound insulator under glove compartment by removing two pushnuts that secure insulator to studs on climate control case. 15. Remove three screws attaching glove compartment assembly to instrument panel and remove door assembly. 16. Remove air cleaner, battery and battery tray.

In addition to the content of this service kit, four other gaskets not included in this service kit will also be needed to complete the repair, a Control Valve Body Cover (Side Cover) Gasket (54), a Control Valve Body Cover (Side Cover) Inner Gasket (59), a Case Cover Lower Gasket (429), and a Case Cover Upper Gasket (430). These gaskets can be obtained by ordering service kit P/Ns 24206959 and 24206391. Be sure to use ONLY the Second Clutch Assembly and Second Clutch Housing Fluid Seal Rings provided in this service kit. DISCARD the Second Clutch Assembly and Second Clutch Housing Fluid Seal Rings removed from the transmission being serviced. Disassemble ONLY the Oil Pump Assembly from the Case Cover (Complete). DO NOT disassemble the Control Valve Body from the Case Cover. Remove ONLY the Case Cover-to- Case bolts to remove the Case Cover and Valve Body from Transmission Case AS AN ASSEMBLY . To access all Case Cover-to-Case bolts, it is necessary to remove the Pressure Control Solenoid Valve Assembly (322), and 1-2 & 3-4 Shift Solenoid Valve Assemblies (315A, 315B).
