SYMPTOM There is a vibration at idle or harsh engagement when shifting the transmission between between Park, Drive, and Reverse. PROBABLE CAUSE The front hydraulic engine mount may have deteriorated and torn. PARTS INFORMATION Front Engine Mount Assembly: 1998-02 Accord V6 – P/N 50810-S87-A82, H/C 7981657 1999-04 Odyssey – P/N 50800-S0X-A04, H/C 7978927 2003-05 Pilot – P/N 50800-S3V-A82, H/C 7984560 WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION In warranty: The normal warranty applies. Failed Part: P/N 50810-S87-A81 H/C 5438593 Defect Code: 01102 Symptom Code: 04501 Skill Level: Repair Technician Out of warranty: Any repair performed after warranty expiration may be eligible for goodwill consideration by the District Parts and Service Manager or your Zone Office. You must request consideration, and get a decision, before starting work. DIAGNOSIS 1. Bring the engine up to operating temperature, and fully apply the parking brake. 2. Have an assistant view the top of the front engine mount while standing to the side of the vehicle. Shift the transmission to Drive. With your foot firmly on the brake pedal, quickly depress the accelerator pedal and release it. Your assistant should look for contact between the top of the engine mount and the bottom of the front engine mount bracket, and listen for noise from that area. REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Drive the vehicle onto a lift, but do not raise it. 2. Odyssey – Remove the intake manifold cover and the front ignition coil cover: •See page 9-4 of the 1999-04 Odyssey Service Manual. •Online, enter keyword INTAKE , and select Intake Manifold Removal and Installation from the list. 3. Odyssey – Remove the radiator cover: •See page 10-16 of the 1999-04 Odyssey Service Manual. •Online, enter keyword RADIATOR , and select Radiator and Fan Replacement from the list

Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. 1 Unclip and remove side panel from both sides of radio and climate controls. Figure A) 2 TOYOTARAV 42001-2005 Remove (4) Phillips screws securing the radio/climate control trim panel. (Figure B) 3 Remove (4) 10 MM bolts securing the radio. (Figure C) 4 DASH DISASSEMBLY A B C Continue to kit assembly. Unplug and remove radio. 5 Remove factorybrackets from radio. Retain brackets for use during kit assembly. 6 7 95-8202 DASH DISASSEMBLY TOYOTAMR2 SPIDER 2000-2005 Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit. Unsnap the lower trim piece from each side of the dash console and remove (2) Phillips screws exposed in each cavity. Remove the upper trim piece from each side of the console. (Figure A) 2 Remove the climate control knobs and (2) Phillips screws exposed. Remove the climate control trim bezel. (Figure A) 3 Remove the ashtray and (1) 10mm bolt exposed. Unclip the ashtray trim bezel and remove. (Figure A) Unclip the radio trim bezel, remove (4) Phillips screws securing the unit and disconnect the wiring. 4 1 5 2 A Continue to kit assembly. 7

INSTALLATION Installing the Headrest Cover 1. While pressing on the headrest guide knob, remove the headrest by pulling it upward. Repeat the same procedure for the other two headrests. 2. Fit the three headrest covers over the headrests. HEADREST COVER HEADREST SECOND ROW SEAT HEADREST GUIDE Push. KNOB HEADREST HEADREST HEADREST HEADREST COVER CROSS SECTION HEADREST COVER 3. Slide the left second row seat to the foremost position. 4. Install the seat cover to the left seat back and insert the four flaps between the left seat back lining and left seat back. Secure the seat cover with two velcro fasteners. 5. Fold the left seat back and pull the seat cover between the left seat back and the left seat cushion. Attach two velcro fasteners to the left seat back lining as shown. 6. Tuck the seat cover under the headrest guides as shown. HEADREST GUIDE 2 VELCRO FASTENERS 4 FLAPS SEAT BACK LINING 2 VELCRO FASTENERS SEAT COVER LEFT SEAT BACK LEFT SEAT CUSHION 7. Install the seat cushion cover to the left seat cushion, then pull the seat belt buckles out through the holes on the seat cushion cover as shown.

FRONT DOOR PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION Special Tools Required * Trim pad remover, Snap-on A 177A or equivalent, commercially available * KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014 1. Using a trim tool, pry out the upper portion of the cover (A) to release the hooks (B), then remove the cover. 2. Remove the screws. 3. Driver’s door: Pull the inner handle (A) rearward and out half-way to release the power door lock switch bracket (B) from the door panel (C).
