This diagram is the most common way to plumb a proportioning valve. In some cases, the right front line will be plugged off at the proportioning valve and the left front line will go to a “T” fitting. From the “T” fitting, the front lines then split off and go to the left and right wheels. Our proportioning valve has a warning light switch built in (this is not a stop light switch.) The warning light will detect any loss of pressure, for example, a leaky wheel cylinder. We recommend you wire this light into your system. Any two wire light socket will work. One wire goes to the accessory power and the other goes to the warning light. Our proportioning valves provide four functions: 1. Proportion pressure front and rear 2. 10 psi. residual check valve 3. Metering valve to apply pressure to the rear brakes before the front brakes 4. A brake warning light to detect a loss in pressure Proportioning Valve Plumbing Diagram: There are two proportioning valve lines that connect to the master cylinder provided in our kits. The first is a 90 degree bend with one leg longer than the other. This line must be oriented with the long leg connected into the front top hole of the proportioning valve and the short end in the front hole on the master cylinder. The second line has two 90 degree bends and has color coded fittings. The larger blue fitting goes into the back hole on the master cylinder and the smaller gold fitting goes into the back top hole on the proportion valve as shown in the diagram

Step 1: Bedliner Modification Note: If the truck is equipped with a plastic drop-in bedliner, some alteration will be necessary. Ifno bedliner is present, proceed to Step 2. A. The dotted lines in Diagram 1 depict the more common under-the-rail liner modifications. A. 1. Using a jig saw with a medium tooth blade, remove the bulkhead portion of the liner as indicated. A. 2. Be sure to trim the bedliner’s plastic tailgate panel as shown. B. The dotted lines in Diagram 2 depict the less common over-the-rail liner modifications. A. 1. Using a jig saw with a medium tooth blade, remove the top cap and bulkhead portions of the liner as indicated. A. 2. If a rear notch is necessary, placethe tracks on their respective bedrails and mark the positions of the most rearward clamps prior to removing the liner. (The correct position of the track is with the black plastic track end-cap touching the inside surface of the tailgate.) A. 3. When the modification is complete, push the wall of the liner under the bedrail. A. 4. Be sure to trim the bedliner’s plastic tailgate panel as shown Step 2: Shim the OE Bedrail Caps (units 546 & 565) A. Remove the plastic bedrail caps, starting at the tailgate and lifting slowly (Photo 3) . Allow each snap to release as you proceed, being careful not to overstress the rail cap. B. Place the correct stick-on shim pads at the locations shown in Diagram 4. Note: The measurements shown in the graph below are taken beginning from the bulkhead end of the bedrail cap down-flange. Be sure to center the shims at each location and place them agains the down flange as shown in Diagram 5 . REMOVAL 1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 2. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE Remove the 7 clips and radiator grille. 3. DISCONNECT UPPER RADIATOR HOSE 4. DISCONNECT RADIATOR RESERVOIR HOSE 5. DISCONNECT LOWER RADIATOR HOSE 6. REMOVE RADIATOR NO.2 FAN SHROUD 7. A/T: DISCONNECT OIL COOLER HOSES 8. REMOVE RADIATOR Remove the 4 bolts and the radiator. DISASSEMBLY 1. REMOVE NO.1 FAN SHROUD Remove the 4 bolts and No. 1 fan shroud. 2. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORTS 3. REMOVE DRAIN PLUG 4. ASSEMBLE SST SST 09230-01010 a. Install the claw to the overhaul handle, inserting it in the hole in part “A” as shown in the diagram. b. While gripping the handle, adjust the stopper bolt so that dimension “B” shown in the diagram is 0.2 – 0.3 mm (0.008 – 0.012 inch). NOTICE: If this adjustment is not done, the claw may be damaged. 5. UNCAULK LOCK PLATES Using SST to release the caulking, squeeze the handle until stopped by the stopper bolt. SST 09230-01010 6. REMOVE TANKS AND O-RINGS a. Lightly tap the radiator port (inlet or outlet) with a soft faced hammer, and remove the tank. b. Remove the O-ring. REASSEMBLY 1. INSPECT LOCK PLATE Inspect the lock plate for damage. HINT: If the sides of the lock plate groove are deformed, reassembly of the tank will be impossible. NOTICE: The radiator can only be recaulked 2 times. After the 2nd time, the radiator core must be replaced. 2. INSTALL NEW O-RINGS AND TANKS a. After checking that there are no foreign objects in the lock plate groove, install the new O-ring without twisting it. HINT: When cleaning the lock plate groove, lightly rub it with sand paper without scratching it. b. Install the tank without damaging the O-ring. c. Tap the lock plate with a soft-faced hammer so that there is no gap between it and the tank. 3. ASSEMBLE SST 09230-01010 a. Install the punch assembly to the overhaul handle, inserting it in the hole in part “A” as shown in the illustration. b. While gripping the handle, adjust the stopper bolt so that dimension “B” shown in the diagram. Dimension “B”: 8.4 mm (0.34 inch) 4. CAULK LOCK PLATE

CCV Fitting See Figures 2 and 3 1. With the engine running, remove the CCV fitting. a. If the fitting is not plugged, a hissing noise will be heard as air passes through the valve. A strong vacuum should also be felt when a finger is placed over the fitting. b. Install the CCV fitting. c. Remove the fresh air hose from the air cleaner assembly and loosely hold a piece of paper over the open end of the hose. After allowing about one minute for the crankcase pressure to reduce, the paper should be sucked against the opening with a noticeable amount of force. 2. Turn the engine OFF . Remove the metered orifice fitting, and check for a plugged condition. A clicking noise should be heard to indicate that the valve mechanism is free. 3. If the crankcase ventilation system meets the tests in Steps 1 and 2 above, no further service is required. If not, the CCV fitting must be cleaned and the system checked again. 4. If Step 1c fails when the CCV fitting is cleaned, it will be necessary to replace the molded vacuum hose with a new one, and to clean the metered orifice port. 5. Clean or replace the engine air cleaner filter element with a new one-for more details, refer to the air cleaner procedure located in General Information & Maintenance. Fig. 2: CCV system diagram for 4.0L engine Fig. 3: CCV system diagram for the 2.5L engine Evaporative Emission Control System OPERATION The evaporative emission control system prevents the release of unburned hydrocarbons, from gasoline or gasoline vapor, into the atmosphere. When pressure in the fuel tank is below 3 psi (20 kPa), the pressure relief/rollover valves open allowing fuel vapors to flow to the evaporative canister where they are absorbed by a charcoal mixture. This prevents excessive pressure buildup in the fuel system. Most canisters are equipped with a calibrated orifice at the inlet to the canister.

STEP 1: INSTALL BULKHEAD ADAPTER ( CONTINUED ) B. Lay Bulkhead Adapter Flange onto the bulkhead (Photo 3) and position the threaded blocks between the knockouts so the holes line up (Photo 4) . Use ¼ – 20 x 1″ counter-sunk screws to secure the Adapter Flange to the bulkhead. STEP 2: INSTALL HOUSING A. Place the Housing Assembly onto the bed rails (Photo 5) . Center it between the rails and leave about ½” of space between the bulkhead and the back of the Housing. Do not fasten the Housing in place. B. Lift the Lid on the Housing and lean it against the cab (Photo 6) . Place a rag between the Lid and cab to prevent scratches. STEP 3: INSTALL TRACKS A. Making sure to leave the Pull Strap connected to the threaded Shipping Stud, rotate the Lock Lever to the 10 o’clock position (Photo 7) . B. Loosely assemble six Track Clamp assem- blies (Photo 8) . Remove the End Caps from the bed rail “C” channels and slide three Track Clamp assemblies into each channel (Photo 9) . Note that the Clamps are labeled “front” , “middle” , and “rear” and must be located accordingly (Photo 10) . Leave the Clamps loose. D. Key the Tracks onto the Housing Stems (Diagram 11), being sure that the Handle is properly engaged into the Tracks and carefully lay the Tracks onto the bed rail (Photo 12) so that the fi n on the underside of each Track seats into the slot in the Clamps (Diagram 13) . E. Use 10 – 24 x ½” truss head screws and Cargo Nuts to secure the Tracks to the Housing Stems (Photo 14) . F. Slide the Clamp assemblies into position so they line up with the double hole patterns located at each end and center of the Track. G. Use 10 – 24 x ½” truss head screws to secure the Clamps to the Tracks (Photo 15) and double check to be sure that Tracks are properly nested into the Clamps. Do not tighten Clamps in place yet and go to step four

INSTALL THE HOUSING A. If not already done, remove the bulkhead deck rail (Photo 4) . B. Place the Housing Assembly onto the bedrails (Photo 5) . This is best accomplished with two people. Center it between the bedrails and leave about ?” of space between the bulkhead and the back of the Housing. Do not fasten the Housing in place. C. Lift the Lid on the Housing and lean it against the cab (Photo 6) . Place a rag between the Lid and cab to prevent scratches. D. Making sure to leave the Pull-Strap connected to the threaded shipping Stud, rotate the Lock Lever to the 10 o’clock position (Photo 7) . Insert threaded rectangular blocks (2 each side Crew Max bed; 3 each side short/long bed). INSTALL THE TRACKS ON DECK RAIL E QUIPPED BEDS ( CONTINUED ) Note: The threaded hole is off-centered and the block must be inserted with the hole closest to the bottom (Photo 9) . Note: Tracks for 2007 Tundra truck beds are shipped with the clamp setups for both applications with and without “Deck Rail Systems”. Before proceeding with an application with deck rails, you must first remove the Clamps shown (Photo 10) . C. Lower the tailgate and place the driver’s side Track onto the bedrail (Photo 11) , and key it onto Housing Stem (Diagram 12) , being sure that the Handle is properly engaged into the Track. D. Using 1/4-20 x 1-1/4″ countersunk screws, loosely secure the Tracks to the threaded blocks (Photo 13) . Do not tighten. E. Use a #10-24 x 1/2″ truss head screw and Cargo Nuts to secure the Tracks to the Housing Stems (Photo 14) . Tighten these connections securely. F. With the driver’s side Track in place, repeat sub-steps B-E for the passenger’s side Track. INSTALL THE TAILGATE EXTRUSION A. Lower the tailgate and insert fi ve (5) plastic shims beneath the inside fl ange of the tailgate cap in the locations shown (Photo 15; Diagram 16) . B. Being careful not to strike the ends of the Tracks, close the tailgate and place the Tailgate Extrusion upon the edge of the tailgate, centering it between the Tracks (Photo 17) . C. While holding the Tailgate Extrusion in place, use a #8 x 3/4″ self tapping screw and power screw gun to secure the center hole. (Photo 18) D. Lower the tailgate and hold the Tailgate Extrusion tight and square to the tailgate. Secure each end hole (Photo 19) making sure the screw passes through the shim described in Step (A) above. Tips: Stealth Install: Use the cruise control paddle from the 89+ supra as a built in paddle shifter. Stock cruise control operation is retained when the Suprastick is in the “Fully Automatic” mode. Use the stock ECT PWR button to switch between manual and automatic modes of the Suprastick. (Follow the provided wiring diagram above for the stealth install) The white Manual / Auto selector lead may be wired to the #2 in the wiring diagram and use the ECT switch next to the gear shifter for mode selection, or any 12 volt switch and source. The cruise control paddle wire is located under the driver’s side dash. It is the pink / green wire in the wire loom coming from the steering wheel and connecting to the cruise control ECU. It will shift voltages when the paddle is pressed up or down, and be constant 12 volts when the paddle is not touched. 3. Initial Tests After connecting all of the SupraStick wires, but before replacing the kick panels and glove box, start by turning the car’s ignition to on (do not start the car). The SupraStick unit will click twice. Select manual shifting mode. Shift up and down through the gears. You should hear a distinctive click in the SupraStick box and in the tranny for each shift. You may verify the following voltages on wires 13-15 for each gear. Start the car, and put SupraStick into the normal automatic mode. Connect a test light or a voltmeter between the Unit Test Signal Wire and +12 volts. You will see continuity when any of the following conditions are true:
