1. Remove complete exhaust system and exhaust manifold. 2. Remove oil pressure plug from rear of oil gallery and fit nipple, T piece and flare nipple then loosely fit oil supply line. If oil pressure sender unit is fitted at rear of block then relocate to end of T piece otherwise block off T piece with plug. 3. Remove oil drain on block for vacuum pump. Now fit banjo assembly with extended hose banjo bolt and connect vacuum pump oil return to banjo and fit oil drain hose for turbo with elbow to bottom. 4. Fit two whole stainless steel heatshield to firewall by using the two existing protruding screws and two nuts supplied. 5. Fit exhaust manifold with assembled turbo to engine using new gasket if required. Now connect turbo oil feed line and oil return line. When you have oil feed and return line situated so they don’t rub on anything, tighten both ends using a spanner and hose clamps respectively. Note: oil feed line should be facing around the back of the engine, then over rocker cover to turbo – keep away from heat source. 6. Remove engine breather from intake manifold and rocker cover, now block the outlet on the intake manifold with rubber cap plug and clamp. Attach the new breather hose loosely to rocker cover ready for attaching to new position. 7. Fit new airbox to front hold down bracket with original 6mm screws and connect to intake manifold with turbo hose and clamps supplied. Now connect air cleaner and turbo to air box using cast elbows, turbo hose and clamps. You may now connect engine breather to elbow underneath air box making sure that breather pipe does not kink as this will cause turbo to pass oil. Connect air cleaner to 4 ways casting with convoluted hose and 2 x 45° bends with steel spacers and hose clamps supplied

1. Locate and identify the three vacuum ports on the intake manifold. 2. Disconnect and discard the vacuum hose that connects the fuel pressure regulator to vacuum port C. 3. Plug vacuum port C with the cap from the tube kit. 4. Replace the fuel pressure regulator. Refer to page 11-113 of the 1998-00 Accord Service Manual. 5. Install the new vacuum hose kit using one of the following procedures 1. Remove and discard the cap from vacuum port A. 2. Connect the short vacuum hose to vacuum port A M/T WITH CRUISE CONTROL 2. Disconnect and discard the vacuum hose that connects the fuel pressure regulator to vacuum port C. 3. Plug vacuum port C with the cap from the tube kit. 4. Replace the fuel pressure regulator. Refer to page 11-113 of the 1998-00 Accord Service Manual. 5. Install the new vacuum hose kit using one of the following procedures. Zoom Sized for Print 1. Remove and discard the cap from vacuum port A. 2. Connect the short vacuum hose to vacuum port A. Zoom Sized for Print 3. Anchor the long vacuum hose by attaching it to the rear intake air duct clip and to the cruise control hose. . Route the new vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator. Attach the hose to the three rear clips on the engine wire harness cover. Zoom Sized for Print 1. Remove and discard the vacuum hose from vacuum port A. This hose supplies vacuum to the rear engine mount control solenoid. 2. Connect the short vacuum hose from the top of the Y fitting to vacuum port A

Using the right arrow key, toggle the VVTi actuator “ON.” 5. If at this point the vehicle does not run rough and/or stalls when the active test is performed, proceed with Repair Manual P1349 VVTi Fault Isolation Procedure (FIP). If the vehicle does stall and/or runs rough, this indicates the the VVTi control system is operating. Proceed to replace the VVTi actuator following the repair procedures listed on the Technical Information System (TIS): Engine Mechanical Section, Camshaft, Replacement The camshaft timing gear should come in the unlocked position from the factory. If it is difficult to install the camshaft timing gear, the lock pin may be engaged. To disengage the lock pin, apply and hold approximately 20 psi of air pressure at the oil feed hole located 90 degrees clockwise of the oval slot. (See Figure 1.) Once the pin has released, turn the interior assembly counterclockwise. (See black arrow in Figure 1.) B. Put the camshaft timing gear assembly and the camshaft together with the straight pin off the key groove. C. Turn the camshaft timing gear assembly (as shown in Figure 2) while pushing it lightly against the camshaft. Push further at the position where the pin fits into the groove. NOTE: Be sure not to turn the camshaft timing gear to the retard angle side (in the clockwise direction). D. Check that there is no clearance between the end of the camshaft and the camshaft timing gear. E. Tighten the camshaft bolt with the camshaft timing gear fixed. Torque: 54 Nm (551 kgfcm, 40 ftlbf) F. Check that the camshaft timing gear assembly can move to either side and is not locked

STEP 1: INSTALL BULKHEAD ADAPTER ( CONTINUED ) B. Lay Bulkhead Adapter Flange onto the bulkhead (Photo 3) and position the threaded blocks between the knockouts so the holes line up (Photo 4) . Use ¼ – 20 x 1″ counter-sunk screws to secure the Adapter Flange to the bulkhead. STEP 2: INSTALL HOUSING A. Place the Housing Assembly onto the bed rails (Photo 5) . Center it between the rails and leave about ½” of space between the bulkhead and the back of the Housing. Do not fasten the Housing in place. B. Lift the Lid on the Housing and lean it against the cab (Photo 6) . Place a rag between the Lid and cab to prevent scratches. STEP 3: INSTALL TRACKS A. Making sure to leave the Pull Strap connected to the threaded Shipping Stud, rotate the Lock Lever to the 10 o’clock position (Photo 7) . B. Loosely assemble six Track Clamp assem- blies (Photo 8) . Remove the End Caps from the bed rail “C” channels and slide three Track Clamp assemblies into each channel (Photo 9) . Note that the Clamps are labeled “front” , “middle” , and “rear” and must be located accordingly (Photo 10) . Leave the Clamps loose. D. Key the Tracks onto the Housing Stems (Diagram 11), being sure that the Handle is properly engaged into the Tracks and carefully lay the Tracks onto the bed rail (Photo 12) so that the fi n on the underside of each Track seats into the slot in the Clamps (Diagram 13) . E. Use 10 – 24 x ½” truss head screws and Cargo Nuts to secure the Tracks to the Housing Stems (Photo 14) . F. Slide the Clamp assemblies into position so they line up with the double hole patterns located at each end and center of the Track. G. Use 10 – 24 x ½” truss head screws to secure the Clamps to the Tracks (Photo 15) and double check to be sure that Tracks are properly nested into the Clamps. Do not tighten Clamps in place yet and go to step four
