Remove the parts from their packaging and carefully check that the kit contains all the parts listed on the delivery document. Familiarize yourself with each part and learn where it goes. Keep the parts clean at all times. WARNING: A SIBS unit must not be contaminated with any external material/substance – this may adversely affect its operation and reliability. 3.1. Suggestions: 3.1.1. Inspect each brake and supplied items against the packing list included in the shipment. 3.1.2. Ensure all items are included as described. 3.1.3. Ensure all components remain in their original packaging until required for assembly. 3.1.4. Ensure vehicle stub shafts are clean, free from rust, dirt, corrosion or any foreign material. 3.1.5. Ensure complete cleanliness of all brake components and the working environment around the vehicle. 3.1.7. Ensure no contamination of the brake assemblies occurs during installation. 3.1.8. Follow the points in the manual as described; if you are not sure – check the Manual. 3.1.9. Place each brake close to the vehicle adjacent to the axle where the brake is to be fitted, ensuring that they cannot by contaminated by any foreign material.

Proceed to replace the VVTi actuator following the repair procedures listed on the Technical Information System (TIS): Engine Mechanical Section, Camshaft, Replacement The camshaft timing gear should come in the unlocked position from the factory. If it is difficult to install the camshaft timing gear, the lock pin may be engaged. To disengage the lock pin, apply and hold approximately 20 psi of air pressure at the oil feed hole located 90 degrees clockwise of the oval slot. (See Figure 1.) Once the pin has released, turn the interior assembly counterclockwise. (See black arrow in Figure 1.) B. Put the camshaft timing gear assembly and the camshaft together with the straight pin off the key groove. C. Turn the camshaft timing gear assembly (as shown in Figure 2) while pushing it lightly against the camshaft. Push further at the position where the pin fits into the groove. NOTE: Be sure not to turn the camshaft timing gear to the retard angle side (in the clockwise direction). D. Check that there is no clearance between the end of the camshaft and the camshaft timing gear. E. Tighten the camshaft bolt with the camshaft timing gear fixed. Torque: 54 Nm (551 kgfcm, 40 ftlbf) F. Check that the camshaft timing gear assembly can move to either side and is not locked

1. Before starting work, familiarize yourself with the installation procedure by reading all of the instructions. 2. The exploded view (Figure 2) provides only general guidance. Refer to each step and section diagram in this manual for proper instruction. 3. Throughout this manual, the left side of the vehicle refers to the driver’s side, and the right side to the passenger’s side. 4. Disconnect the negative (ground) cable from the battery (or batteries, if there are two) before beginning work. 5. Route and tie wires and hoses a minimum of 6″ away from exhaust heat, moving parts and sharp edges. clearance of 8″ or more is recommended where possible. 6. When raising the vehicle, support it on properly weight-rated safety stands, ramps or a commercial hoist. Follow the manufacturer’s safety precautions. Take care to balance the vehicle to prevent it from slipping or falling. When using ramps, be sure the front wheels are centered squarely on the topsides; put the transmission in park; set the hand brake; and place blocks behind the rear wheels. Caution! Do not use floor jacks to support the vehicle while working under it. Do not raise the vehicle onto concrete blocks, masonry or any other item not intended specifically for this use. 7. During installation, keep the work area clean. Do not allow anything to be dropped into intake, exhaust, or lubrication system components while performing the installation, as foreign objects will cause immediate engine damage upon start-up. Disconnect the negative (ground) cable from the battery (if there is more than one battery, disconnect both negative cables). Secure the cable so it cannot accidentally come in contact with the post. 2. Raise the vehicle and support it securely with properly weight-rated safety stands, ramps or a commercial hoist. Take care to balance the vehicle to prevent it from slipping or falling. When using ramps, be sure the wheels are centered squarely on the topsides. SEVERE INJURy May RESUlT. 3. From under the vehicle remove the factory exhaust starting at the 2-bolt flange in front of the muffler. Remove the two (2) bolts, two (2) washers, and two (2) springs from the flange and retain for re-use. NOTE: Remove the factory gasket from the 2-bolt flange. The exhaust system will be hanging by the exhaust hanger pins. 4. Liberally apply an aerosol lubricant on all the hanger pins. Remove the exhaust system from the vehicle by removing each hanger pin from the rubber grommet. NOTE: Remove hanger pins from the front of the vehicle to the rear. 5. Drop the exhaust system to the floor and move out of the way. You will not be reusing any components from the exhaust system. 6. Install the Banks conical gasket onto the vehicle’s 2-bolt flange. 7. Install the hanger pin on the intermediate pipe into the corresponding rubber grommet. Install the Banks intermediate pipe onto the factory 2-bolt intermediate pipe outlet using the factory hardware. amplifier (Most Lexus ? behind glove box; Toyota Land Cruiser ? under drivers or passengers seat). Connect male and female 16-pin connectors between amplifier and the vehicle’s wiring harness. Connect Yellow Mute wire: Lexus ? pin 7 on the 18-pin connector; Land Cruiser ? pin 3 on the 25-pin connector (amplifier). Connect Blue Ignition wire (male bullet connector): Lexus ? pin 16 on the 16-pin connector (female bullet connector); Land Cruiser ? pin 20 on the 25-pin connector (amplifier). Wiring Harness B The normal location of the mute is pin 4 (x) on the 6-pin connector. However, on some rare factory head units, the mute pin might be pin 5. The mute pin on the head unit should show ~ 5 volts when the head unit is turned on. Wiring Harness C Connect the male and female ISO connectors, if they are not already connected. Splice the gray wires (only!) into the loudspeaker wiring, going from the amplifier to the center or door loudspeaker. The 2 female bullet connectors go to the loudspeaker. The 2 male bullet connectors go to the amplifier. The 4 white wires are not used! Connect the yellow mute (“Mute Signal”) cable (male bullet connector) on the ISO Harness coming from the EGO DASH TS brain to “Mute 2″ (white cable – female bullet connector), if not already connected.
